What’s everyone playing this weekend?

I myself am 100ish hours into AC Odyssey on the Steam Deck, looking forward to getting stabby on some malakas!

Making my way through Witcher 3 but I keep getting distracted by gwent.
No no no, that's no distraction, that's the main part of the game :D
Agreed, they put a game around the card game, that kept getting in the way!
I’ve been playing Grim dawn for a while. Just finished getting to lvl 96 on a spellbinder. As much as I’d like to try Diablo 4, $70 is just too steep at the moment. Maybe when it goes on sale
GD fills that Diablo need pretty darn well. I enjoy it more than Diablo 1-3, at any rate.
And if the need comes, I'm pretty sure Grim Dawn has a mod that's just Diablo 2 anyways.
Tears of the Kingdom, although I might take a break for No Man's Sky
Eyyy same for NMS. I generally just like to run around and screen shot stuff
I haven't been able to get into NMS. I'm thinking of giving it yet another try, since I have PCVR (there's that major VR update).
But yeah, I'm deep into Tears of the Kingdom. 105 hours in, and I still haven't beaten it.
Is there new content for NMS or you are just enjoying it at the moment?
there's a big content drop coming soon
Lots of Diablo 4 this weekend if I can actually get some free time. We'll see about that, but that's been my main time sink lately.
Same, can't stop playing it when I get the chance.
Tears Of the Kingdom! Fully went in expecting to be disappointed, but it just continues to blow me away the deeper I get into it. Truly incredible what they were able to pull off with such old hardware.
My partner has been playing it and I'm shocked at what's in that game. Really impressed as an onlooker
It’s honestly outstanding. When I realized how much content was in this game compared to BOTW my jaw hit the floor! I’ve been a life long Zelda fan so it makes me so happy to see the franchise getting renewed love and excitement around it.
This weekend is very busy but I'm sure I can squeeze in some Doom and Terraria (just realising that is a strange combo).
The price tag is such a burden for me but my wife and I really truly enjoyed d3 and the a lot of arpgs, grimdawn, torchlight etc. Is it genuinely worth £120 for two copies?
I'm happy I'm a patient gamer, I'll definitely buy it, but will not pay full price. My partner and I are both gamers, so it'd be way too expensive for us to get it right away.
My wife and I bought it and we don’t regret the purchase; but also we’re doing well enough this year that is not a huge burden for us. So B like… it’s worth it generally IMO, but if it’s a burden, I can’t say that any game is worth it.
I picked up Hi-Fi Rush on sale about a week ago, blew through it once, and am now working on a second play through/new game plus. Super fun game. After putting it down after playing for a while I still feel like I'm doing things to a beat for a bit.
I like hifi rush alot, its a real sleeper and i like the vibe. If you are looking for more I really recommend bullets per minute. It's a roguelike rhythm shooter with a really baller soundtrack. It's less forgiving than hifi rush but when you get in the zone it can be really rewarding.
I love rhythm games but not normally a fan of action arcade. Hi Fi rush is something special though and I think everyone should give it a chance.
I'm getting into Cosmic Star Heroine on my deck. Feels like Chrono Trigger in such a great way.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/256460/Cosmic_Star_Heroine/
Gonna piggyback the retro jrpg comment here since I'm currently playing Chained Echoes. Very clean feeling, some refreshing mechanics although it does have slightly frustrating RNG at times.
The remake of System Shock and Path of Exile, both on the Steam Deck. I'm enjoying gaming again with this beast :)
Oooh. How is the System Shock remake? Huge fan of the original, but haven't had the time to look into the remake too much. Was it "modernized" or were all the systems kept faithful to the original?
The controls has been modernized, it feels like a game that launched this year, but everything else is completely faithful to the original. I've only tried the original briefly, but I've red from people who played both that you could basically follow a guide from 1994 and still be able to get through the remake.
Aside from that, they added a scrap system which you can collect junk, destroy it, and recycle it for coins which can be spent on weapon upgrades. I think that's the only major addition in the gameplay itself, and it's something that was already in a similar way for System Shock 2 with the nanites.
Probably more Tears of the Kingdom, maybe with some Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak mixed in. Though I always have a hard time switching back to Sunbreak after a long time, since it always takes a while before I remember all the controls!
Someone on one of my discords showed some screenshots from SWTOR, so I plunked down $15 and am playing through some of the storylines I never gave a shot back when it first launched and generally doing my best to ignore the mmo aspects of it. I might give Hi-Fi Rush a shot, as it's seemed interesting and someone else said it's one of the more forgiving rhythm games so I might actually have a shot in it.
Damn, the Swtor class stories were some of the best ones I've seen in an MMO. Have fun with that one!
Also, I really want to recommend hifi rush! It is indeed forgiving, there are some parts where you have to hit on the beat (but well telegraphed), and I feel like you get the hang of it quite easily. That being said, apart from the gameplay it is also just one of the funniest games of 2023. If you get the chance give it a try. :)
Elden Ring, just got the game and I'm excited to keep exploring this open world dark souls
I never got into any of the souls games until Elden Ring, but I'm now working through it for like the fifth time. Truly one of the best games I've ever played.
I’m enjoying Far Cry 6 atm - I know people have (valid) qualms with the Unsioft copy/paste fetch quest style, but sometimes it’s nice just to switch off and shoot bad guys. And I think the main storyline and voice acting is pretty good tbh.
I recently finished it and liked it too. The setting was more of my taste than Far Cry 5. I just love the tropical Far Cry games.
I'm totally the opposite. I never much cared for tropical environments. I do like the Far Cry games, though. The gunplay feels good and the gameplay loop is enjoyable for a few dozen hours every couple of years. I think my biggest dislike of the series in general is the mystical hallucination bits that seem to always be present. Obviously the games aren't realistic in general, but those moments always take me out of the game. I haven't played 6 yet, so maybe they aren't present.
Even if many of Ubisoft's quests are copy-paste, once in a while I come across one that has some neat thoughts in it, and it's a shame a lot of people don't find them. Games like TOTK have a much stronger balance, but that's not easy.
Really busy this weekend with non-gaming related things, but I'm hoping to get back into Splatoon.
Just bought The Talos Principle and I really like it. I will be playing the heck out of it for the rest of the weekend.
I'd really like to experience my first play-through again. Really awesome game.
Surprisingly good! Didn't expect the story to unfold that way from what's essentially a puzzle game
Picked up Cult of the Lamb yesterday on sale as I've heard nothing but good things and I'm really enjoying it so far. Told myself I'd be a kind and caring cult leader...that didn't last long!
CotL is such a cute and disturbing game. Quite addicting as well.
I'm still missing two of the "No Damage Taken" Achievements. But neither my reaction time or patience is what it used to be. XD
Trying to finish my first full Darkest Dungeon run since starting in 2016. I never started the final DD level but completed everything else, but I feel I can't start Darkest Dungeon II before completing the campaign in the first game.
That and probably some more Cities: Skylines 🙂
I really really wanted to like Darkest Dungeon, but either I really suck at it or there's just too much grinding for me. I've gone through about 30 in-game weeks and haven't really gotten anywhere.
It is a big grind, yes. If that's not your cup of tea I don't think you'll ever grow fond of it. There's also alot of randomness that at times feels very unfair. But for some reason, it appeals to me 🙂.
Part two is not as long, or so I read, but you still have to grind to unlock characters and skills, apparently.
Tears of the kingdom!
It's pretty awesome so far. Can't wait to waste my weekend!
ahhh I’m loving this game so much, only managed to get 30hrs so far as I’m in the middle of exams but I just know I’ll have 200+ as soon as I finish haha
Fallout 1 with a 1-Intelligence character. I’m, somehow, succeeding.
Have you tried FO2? I liked it better than the first.
I may have played it a time or two.
I enjoy the tone and tightness of the first game's story much more. I enjoy the second game's expanded mechanics and item variety. In terms of tone, really Fallout 2 really sets the course for the rest of the franchise. Fallout 1 ends up being this very strange outlier that never really got revisited by official games (there are some stand alone mods that capture it a lot more).
That is so much fun. Fallout 1 was one of those games that just blew my mind when it came out, and it's still one of my favourites.
I just found Tim Cain's YouTube channel, and realise I haven't played the games from Troika. I'm considering getting Arcanum and playing that.
Just finished like the 5th play of arcanum (over many years) It's really worth it!
Grab the unofficial patch, bug fixes and lets it work better on latest hardware
Awesome, I'll look forward to it. And thanks, those kinds of patches are life savers on older games!
Tears of the Kingdom has been consuming my life since its release. Now i'm dreading that the end is near - i do not want to stop playing!
This is what I've been doing as well. Still postponing final fight until all shrines found and some side adventures completed.
Join us in speedrunning and have your life consumed forever :)
Diablo 4. Trying to get through the story as much as possible! Playing with my husband, been a blast so far!
I finally gave death stranding another shot, coming into it with a clean mindset away from all the negativity has allowed me to enjoy the slow and relaxing gameplay a lot more. It's worth a second chance if you were negative towards it originally.
I started it like half a year ago and stopped when I had to hide from that strange black fog things. I hate stealth mechanics, so I stopped playing. May I ask if it gets better? I mean in terms that you acquire gear or abilities to not need to crawl around that black mist creatures? I am super interested in the game, exploring, doing the deliveries, seeing how the story unfolds and I really want to play it, but not if I need to play hide & seek all the time :-(
Once you unlock the blood grenades you can easily take care of the BTs, you also get more weapons that can deal with them. It's pretty early that you can stop crouching and holding your breath to deal with them.
People have called it a "delivery simulator" as an insult to it, but honestly to me that sounds pretty freaking sweet when I need to relax after a long day.
Mario kart 8, still trying to get 3 gold stars on all the tracks.
No Man's Sky has kind of been my go-to since it was released. Of course I'll sit down and get into lots of other games, but if I'm playing nothing in particular - NMS.
Just a heads-up about the new expedition.. it's bugged out at one of the steps in the last phase right now, and you can't progress to complete the expedition yet. Looks to be a community-related task, but it's not displaying progress properly.
I think I heard something about that, yeah. Thanks for the heads up!
Tears of the Kingdom. I'm going to be here for awhile, but this game has made me want to play some other Switch games in my collection that I've been putting off, like Xenoblade Chronicles.
Xenoblade is awesome! It blew my mind that sooo many really outstanding Switch games were in fact done by the same company!
It's gonna be more Tears of the Kingdom for me. Really can't get enough of the exploration aspect of this game.
Killing 20min here and there during the days with SNKRX a "roguelike snake" for next to no money (~3€ at the time of writing)
Love the concept and the artstyle doesn't win a price but fits the theme perfectly. The soundtrack is quite good though!
Diablo 4! I find it oddly relaxing in my current state of mind. At first I was adamant about listening to the soundtrack and all the voice acting but I've found I enjoy it way more by just reading the story and listening to my own music.
I've got a necromancer and a sorcerer. Necromancer is incredibly easier, to the point I haven't touched the sorcerer since I made it. I will probably make another character soon, not sure what.
had a friend recommend me to get this so we could play over summer, have you tried the multiplayer?
Still Zelda. I'm 75 hours in and still completely hooked.
Hades here. Just started this weekend, hour all weapons unlocked and made it up to Hades, lost. Working on it.
I pretty much spend all of my time on FFXIV, but lately, been going through Last of Us again with my partner on PC
Diablo 4 and TotK are my go to games atm.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Zelda Totk and Yes your grace. Maybe I cave in and buy Diablo 4 tomorrow.
I'll keep trying to get good at Streets Of Rogue, it's rough as a beginner.
I've tried to get into it a few times without luck, but I know if I can get over the initial hump that I'll love it.
Have you ever played the game's multiplayer?
No I don't have friends that would play it.
Diablo on a Deck with passion fruit martinis. 🌞
Puzzling places on the ps5. I had not expected that I'd play that so much.
More D4, gamed a lot on Friday with friends. Having a great time so far
Trying to get gud at Kerbal Space Program. Of course I’ve been trying that for years and it hasn’t happened yet.
I'm working on Elden Ring on the Steam Deck (even though I have a gaming pc in the next room).
I am trying Stellaris but I'm worried it will be too complicated for me to get into.
I tried it once a while back and the tutorial seemed pretty good. I was able to grasp things easier than some other paradox games. My biggest worry is I don’t have time to play consistently and I will forget too much between sessions. I never picked it up again because of that, but I keep looking at it and want to try again.
MaxTheCatfish has some great Stellaris tutorials on YouTube. They are super accessible and highly recommended!
It's got a steep learning curve, but is technically very good. It's got a number of difficulty settings to make it playable and enjoyable for you.
Stellaris can be really intimidating when you first start playing because there are so many menus and systems to navigate, but I highly recommend sticking with it. The Pause key is your friend.
Started playing Persona 5 Royal a few days ago. Such a cool game. I played the original Persona as a kid on PlayStation and thought it was cool, although I never finished it because I couldn’t get past a part where my disc was scratched.
Almost done with the latest expedition in No Man's Sky. Next up is grinding up some (in-game) money for the new dlc in GTA Online next week. After that I want to see how much Ark: Survival Evolved I can get through before the next version, Ark: Survival Ascended comes out this summer. So many other games on hold though. I want to finish Jurassic World Evolution before I buy #2, and I haven't even installed the Terminator game or my System Shock bundle yet. Or my Aliens games. Yikes. I could be spending 12 hours a day gaming and it'd be hard to catch up!
Ah sweet, there's finally another one! I wish they'd re-run older expeditions in between new ones, I picked the game back up right after Utopia came out and was bummed out that I missed the first 8!
So was I, once I finally figured out what expeditions actually were. lol But they do rerun them occasionally. I was able to do one or two of the old ones at some point.
I'm picking back up Asterigos. It's a fun rpg in the souls-like category, with enough unique features to set itself apart from the crowd. I picked it up when it first released, but we had a baby and life got busy so I never finished it. Hoping to fix that soon!
I've been playing TOTK more, some Fortnite, and Street Fighter 6!
I finished Atomic Heart last night. Good shooter with some clunky storytelling. I don't know if I'd pay full price for it but if you've got GamePass I'd recommend giving it a go.
Caves of Qud probably. Been into it for awhile now — shockingly good classic roguelike experience in a crazy science fantasy world.
I’m 20 hours into Horizon Zero Dawn! Been playing it on my steamdeck and having a blast.
I love this game. So happy it made it to PC. I'm only about 10 hours in. The intro cutscene when Aloy jumps as a kid and lands as a young adult was such an epic moment. Enjoy your time playing that one. It's so beautiful
I’m enjoying how story-rich it is! Feels very cinematic.
ROCK AND STONE
All Diablo 4 all the time over here, I'm completely in love with it
Diablo 4 with my wife. Double Necromancer party is just chaos.
System Shock Remake, gotta kick Shodan's ass finally ;)
TOTK - well and truly hooked. I think the main storyline is much more interesting this time around too so it’s the perfect example of story driven open world. That said running around the plains killing mob kind, gathering supplies and scoping weird stuff on the horizon is just the perfect gameplay loop. Fight me.
Similar - Diablo 4. I did pay the extra to play last weekend too, but I'm still enjoying my first build and working my way up to the highest difficulty.
A couple of dozen hours in and I'm still on Act 2!
I did act 1 pretty thoroughly, then focused on the campaign and watched all the cutscenes. It was beautiful work by the developers. I got into nightmare dungeons this weekend. I might try to get past the t3 capstone dungeon tomorrow afternoon to push into the highest difficulty. I bet I could right now, but I read optimal leveling is no more than 3 levels above character level. I hit a nightmare dungeon that was 8 above me and wasn't at all impressed, so I'll just believe that and work with it. I'm having a great time though.
I'm back at Oblivion. The current sun and heat somehow make me feel nostalgic to those bright colours and silly interactions.
If you've got to travel, by the Nine Divines, stay on the roads! The wilderness just isn't safe anymore. We've had sightings, you see. The Daedra...
But damnit, how can I find all those nirnroots if I stay on the road!
I've been bouncing around through various games I've already bought directly or ended up owning due to buying bundles. Just finished Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and am trying to decide on what to get into next.
AC Odyssey is so beautiful. I still have to finish the Atlantis DLC at some point. I ran into an annoying bug that was blocking me.
I've been thinking about reinstalling Fallout 4 this weekend to play through Far Harbor and work on settlements.
But I'll more than likely just play Chrono Trigger and Cave Noire for a while and that will be it.
I have been playing Diablo 4 for the past days whenever I have some time! It's maybe not the best Diablo, but so much fun ;D
FF14
Diablo 4, Elden Ring, and setting up a matrix chat homeserver on my NAS
Stardew Valley for the first time. Just won my year 1 Grange Display and Stardrop.
I'm gearing up for some hard lessons in street fighter 6. Still rocking that 0 win streak at the battle hub; going to work on it and get back to basics and see if things work.
Who are you playing as? I went in expecting to be a Marisa main but after trying out the whole cast I really strongly gravitated towards Kimberly, something about her playstyle really gels with me
I'm flip flopping between Cammy and Lily right now; still finding my main. I tend to play rushdown / speed characters like cammy or ibuki, so they both were a close fit for me.
Seemed like Kimberly would have jived well, but I've been having trouble with her combos and still not able to do the right things with her mixups.
I have re-rntered Kenshi. I will be released... some day...
Mostly board games; taught couple of our older boys Scythe and then got in several rounds of Turing Machine.
Recently started Homeworld Mobile on phone and liking it so far.
Also planning to tinker with merging Color My Quest (ttrpg) with Wallet Dungeons to play with our younger kiddos.
I've been getting back into Civ 6!
Diablo 4. Just got done unlocking some altar of Liliths and doing a bit of endgame content.
Diablo 4!
Outer Wilds and Battlebit!
I played Descenders a little bit but mostly I've been checking out Lemmy.
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and Fire Emblem Engage. Both are on Nintendo Switch.
Bonus: I finally bought a copy of Zelda Twilight Princess for Gamecube and started a save file there too!
Tf2 Ow2 Left4dead2
Just getting into MonsterTrain. If you like roguelike deckbuilders I would highly recommend it.
DCS, Persona 5 and Splatoon 3
I just bought Frogsong. Very cute game, I only played for around 2 hours so far but I like it. :)
Mario Kart 8 on WiiU on the couch !
Heck yeah, Wii U gang!!
Disco elysium
Halo, AOE2, Vampire Survivors... Good times
iRacing!
Finally picked up Gran Turismo 7 on the PS5, put a few hours in and enjoying it.
SF6 (World Tour, I cannot handle online play ha)
Been trying that as well. It's my first fighting game and I just completely suck at it (kinda what I expected).
Diablo 4, so far I’ve been enjoying it loads, even without any multiplayer aspects it would be a great standalone RPG.
I’m also playing Breath of the Wild since I never finished it originally and want to before I start Tears of the Kingdom.
Yet another Divinity 2 playthrough with the crew (1st time with mods, maybe?)
Also, I finally decided to give Cyberpunk a shot now that there are some decent mods and the game is less buggy.
Also played some Minecraft with the family kids this morning and actually had a lot of fun. I need to play more mc lol!
My brother bought me A Plague Tale: Requiem for my birthday, but I have only just now gotten a chance to play it now that I graduated and have some free time.
I absolutely love this game. I loved the first one too. I could just wander around medieval France for hours without even playing the campaign. The setting is so well-crafted.
And I just learned that the developers, Asobo Studio, also were the ones behind Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Absolute studs.
Finally back into DMC 5, because I've been playing My Day Job: The One To Pay The Bills for the past week and a half (and that wasn't fun...)
MDJ is not fun at all. The pacing is horrible, the NPCs are annoying and bland, and the puzzles are either super simple or literally impossible given the tools at your disposal.
Factorio has been consuming my life (again) recently.
Have you made the terrible life-altering mistake of playing with Space Exploration? I've fallen into a bottomless pit of K2+SE
I fell into the SE pit a little while back. I really enjoyed it being such a long slog with long-term objectives, but then after a while it felt like I could play a few hours after work and get nowhere. If you want your Factorio game to feel like it'll never end, and there always being something else to work towards, it definitely scratches that itch!
I’ve been playing Persona 5, I really like it. My goal is to unlock the third semester
Right now Against the Storm, tonight Diablo 4 ☺️
Tears of the kingdom. I still get to climb mountains, so just climbing mountains. Then I realized that if I was going to climb mountains I might as well clean everything up, so I'm doing the main quest to clean the world up so I can climb prettier mountains.
Yup. I have nearly 200 hours on this badboy and I'm still going lol
It really feels like the game that never ends.
Holy crap, I figured I'd check my play time, 195 hours so far! Whaaaat. Wow...well, gotta get back to it
I just picked up the new System Shock remake and Ghostwire Tokyo. Super excited to dig into them!
Been meaning to sit down and finally play some retro games that I've either never played or forgotten I've played.
New hotness is currently the paper mario series!
Super. Tecmo. Bowl.
Paper Mario Thousand Year Door is amazing! Have fun
Agreed! One of the best Mario games out there.
Portal 2
Endless sky and RimWorld have been my go to games recently.
Minecraft... Always Minecraft. I just joined a multiplayer server that's starting a new world so hopefully they get to launch this weekend. Really looking forward to it because I've never really been part of a server like that.
Hunt Showdown! Yeeeeehaw broder
Been rotating D4 and TOTK! It’s not a bad time to be alive
Ghostwire: Tokyo, as it was in Humble Bundle, demoed it earlier on Game Pass, nice gameplay loop
Just started this one myself! Seems like a unique game to say the least! Definitely worth a gamepass play imo
I was really impressed with this when I first started it. Really great production values and some fun twists on standard combat, but I did get worn out on it pretty quickly. I managed to finish the story, but I was very ready to be done and left a lot of side content behind.
Besides some Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, I'm mainly playing Ironsworn: Starforged. I recently got the book and I am appreciating what Shawn Tomkin did here.
I may play a bit of Spirit Island later if I have enough time to spend focusing on it.
I've been totally immersed in Diablo 4.
Bloodborne! Got some friend requests through co-op in dungeon, too
Tears of the Kingdom: I seem to take ages to play anything these days (only just got down to Hyrule) but I really like it, seems very chill and that’s just what I want right now.
I think if there was any game I wouldn't mind taking forever to finish it'd be that game. Hope you enjoy it.
Maybe check out a few new to me shooters. Caliber and Shatterline.
Started playing warframe as destiny 2 doesn't work on Linux and bungie deleted users paid content. Its OK, lots to learn. Not sure if I'll stick with it long term . I think the characters look stupid, like give me a normal looking human / robot.
Gameplay is decent enough...
Other than that. A bit of Mario kart 8
I wanna say I'm gonna be fiddling with TotK or a replay of Oblivion...
But I'm probably gonna wind up just playing 20 Minutes 'til Dawn all weekend trying to beat max darkness with the new weapons that released two days ago. 😅
AC Odyssey, many people have negative opinions of this game as an AC game. I think if you like the time period and are not an original trilogy diehard fan, you can find it interesting.
I just finished one of the quest chains that came in an update; where a town is about to be attacked by pirates, and on every single quest in the chain, everything goes NOT according to plan and things just get more comically dire.
“Now, Kassandra! Set me on fire so I may prove my immortality to the crowd!”
Since I got them both from PS Plus I've gone through Doom 2016 and am now some way into Eternal.
I much prefer 2016's aesthetic (and engine, if that makes sense) but the QOL improvements and new mechanics are really great.
Still lots to do in TOTK. I’ve also picked up Project Zomboid and am terrible at it.
solo or co-op? I tried solo years back and it didn't stick, but I heard that co-op is actually pretty good
Solo so far. Gotta at least learn the basics (and find some friends who are interested) before trying coop.
Hey how's that running on deck? Was it hard to setup or anything? I loved it on PS4 and I've been considering picking it up on deck.
I played the demo of Life of P today. Also I am playing Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Immortals Fenix Rising and Medal of Honor: Frontline on the PS2.
I haven't played Frontline in over a decade, but I used to constantly replay the D-Day Mission when I was younger. And even today, I regularly listen to the soundtrack, it's so good. All though, I will say European Assault is my favorite MoH Soundtrack.
GTA4 is on sale for a few bucks, so I figured I'd jump in this weekend
Diablo 4 on PC and the campaign in Modern Warfare II on Xbox, pretty different games but they suit different moods quite well.
Haven't gotten too far in D4 yet, around 23 or so but it seems pretty nice so far. I was starting to get a bit bored but I think it was just my rogue feeling weak before getting some decent abilities. Things are slowluy looking better now.
Tears of the Kingdom. Absolutely loving it, but there’s so much to do I’m a bit lost. I’m going to focus on the main story and explore the depths a bit more. Once I’ve finished the main story I’m going to finally get around to playing Red Dead Redemption!
Wrapping up Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga (3DS); surprisingly lengthy and enjoyable! I'm also planning to play both Partners in Time & Bowser's Inside Story at some point.
Then I have Amnesia: The Bunker in by library. Taunting me.
I'm burnt out on Diablo IV for now, I think. I'm only level 45 but I'm starting to feel the saminess.
I think I'll probably hop back into Kenshi or probably try that latest Going Medieval update.
A game on Mac and iOS called Cityscapes. It's pretty addicting.
My fiance and I have been working out way through the first Horizon and we've been digging it so far.
Tears of the Kingdom and some Wind Waker randomizer :P
The original Etrian Odyssey on DS! The modern remakes just came out, but I don't agree with the price tag. I'm almost through the 3rd stratum and I'm having a blast.
Catching up on Destiny 2, the seasonal story with Sloane is pretty solid. I have TOTK waiting in the wings if I get tired of the grind!
I'm studying for the bar exam right now and really wanted an MMO to play when I'm done studying for the day but didn't want to go back to what I usually play, so I downloaded GuildWars 2. It's a blast so far, and I don't know why I waited so long to play it.
Currently back into wargaming so should be playing a round of One Page Rules' Warfleets today. For a game that's so simple to play it's been surprisingly deep in tactical options. Feels a bit like chess in space sometimes.
I've been playing a mix of Halo Infinite with a few friends lately, and then trying to beat Ascension 20 in Slay the Spire - it's tough, but I love the game!
Currently working on the platinum trophies for Resident Evil 4 Remake and GoW: Ragnarok
Soo really bad, but for some reason I can't out down fifa atm, smh.
I've picked up Trackmania 2020 for the first time about a week ago or so. Just grinding for author medals in the current campaign.
It's a lot of fun to just zone out for hours, chipping away at your records.
Finished up Dredge and started Curse of the Dead Gods. And I keep floating back to No Man's Sky
I told myself I wasn't going to let myself get sucked into to another Gacha game, but Honkai: Star Rail has been so much fun. I haven't spent any money on it, thankfully, but just playing through the story has been a good time. Other than that, I will play a little bit of Final Fantasy XIV and then hopefully finish Chaos;Child.
Just Cause 3 of all things, not sure why I went back to it but it kinda rekindled my love of gaming on my desktop. I need to get back to Diablo 4 as well, and stop being such a coward about Amnesia: The Bunker lol
Amnesia The Bunker: bought it a few days ago and not yet launched :D Games can not be scary if you do not play them!
Teardown and Cyberpunk 2077. :)
TFT, got Platinum at Double up, as my first season. Preparing for new set now.
Been getting back into Battlefield 4 for the last few weeks. Still salty about what happened with 2042, but 4 still holds up really well!
Gonna finish Jedi Survivor and Far Cry 6.
I've been playing highfleet. It's like moonlander but with dogfights, and an interesting hunt and be hunted overworld. very high octane gameplay. I'm finding it crushing hard, I think I'm missing some scaling because I will kill the first 10 or so battles without getting a scratch and then suddenly I can barely survive any fight. I've gotten to the main objective once and immediately crushed in the end game.
Sands of Salazar, hidden gem thats basically Open world, Diablo style combat with armies, town management and army management!
I'm grinding on Diablo 4, hoping to get a new weapon before work starts tomorrow!
Just beat the final boss in TotK, but I might hop in and do some side quests I didn't get around to as well.
Same thing we do every night, Pinky; try to take over the world make the factory grow. And maybe some Diablo IV, if I can get the new smelting annex finished early. Edit: oh shit, Mask of the Rose is out. Man, June is packed for gaming.
playing Project Zomboid with a couple of friends :)
Getting back into rain world, and playing the new downpour dlc.
Trying out Street Fighter 6 and their World Tour mode, my first Fighting Game, as a 30+ y/o. I completely suck at it.
I've been watching some streams of people playing and it really makes me want to pick it up. I used to play 4 about... 10 years ago? God I'm old 😅
I feel that, this is my first real fighting game and I SUCK! Thank fuck for modern controls.
Yeah, I tried classic controls for a bit, but my fingers just can't do these motions.
Dunno if there are any training modes, that could help with those (except the bog-standard training, where you just wail on a dummy). I mean something where you do one move, and it showed you if and when you did some input wrong, late, early, etc.
For now, I'll just unlock more styles and try them out, and maybe find something that speaks to me.
Keep at it!
Nothing, really. I've put Valhalla and Breath of the Wild on hold, I don't feel like gaming lately. But I'm hugely hyped for FFVII Rebirth.
I was playing Diablo 4 and saw my SO (who doesn't play a lot) looking at my screen and suddenly recoiling when I opened the Paragon boards.
I thought about it and put together a way to stream my PC to the TV. Result: we've played Minecraft Dungeons local coop for a large part of the weekend and it's been fantastic.
Couch co-op is one of the best ways I've ever spent time with my wife
Got back into Prison Architect this weekend after a really long break. Built my absolute best prison ever. If anyone here wants to check it out I think sharing the prisons is pretty easy
Same thing I've been playing for the last 6mo. wow wow and more wow.
Lone Fungus! Got it from the Metroidvania Humble Bundle.
Just picked up Jedi: Survivor. So that's what I'll be playing as soon as it finishes installing.
I'll do what I always do, play Overwatch 2, get annoyed at the state the game is in, try and play anything else, go back to playing Overwatch 2 because as frustrating as it is I still can't find anything like it. Now if you'll excuse me I need to play Overwatch 2 again.
I've been playing dead cells. I just recently picked up the castlevania dlc and I'm loving it so far!
Playing Jedi Survivor and Gta Online
Right now I'm playing to Blasphemous and I'm finding a really good game. After some hour for getting in the mood I'm finding a game that reminds me a lot the metroid saga.
Right now, Ascension (deck building game) with a friend – we started off playing Shards of Infinity in tabletop simulator but I finally wanted to play Ascension enough I bought a copy for each of us. Having fun trying all the expansions!
Probably some TotK later; I’m working on collecting all the shrines right now, which also means running around in the depths finding light roots.
I’m seeing lots of demos being added to Steam in advance of the official start of Steam Next Fest on the 19th, so I want to run through the list and download a couple that sounded interesting from the Guerilla and Day of the Devs showcases.
Tears of the Kingdom, and I might find some time to make progress in Disco Elysium. But Zelda is just so addicting. I keep thinking it's time to finish the game, then spot something interesting in the distance and 3 hours later I'm still farming mini bosses in some dark chasm and looking for that last piece of an armor set.
Diablo 4, haven’t been able to crack out like my friends but I’m really enjoying this game. There are a lot of systems, just hit 50 and didn’t even know what paragon was.
Might play some Persona 5 Royal. I have to start it seriously lol.
Oh, do. I'm a couple of months into my second replay at the moment. Would recommend.
Amnesia: The Bunker, very refreshing departure from the standard formula of the series that doesn't forsake the identity forged from the earlier entries. Ending is kind of rough and feels unfinished, however. Worth checking out though.
Space Engineers.
Nice! I enjoyed my playthrough of AC Odyssey. I picked it up just after playing Horizon Zero Dawn and was still in the mood to use a bow and arrows.
Finally finished base Monster Hunter Rise and starting to work my way through Sunbreak.
It's... fine. If you like Rise, you'll probably like Sunbreak too. If you prefer the older style of Monster Hunter games, it's probably scratch your itch just enough to leave you feeling uncomfortable.
probably working on my alphabet legacy in the sims because im verifiably insane
I've been dinking around in Pokemon Scarlet again. Trying to build a singles team and climb the ladder
I'm currently playing GTA San Andreas! It's insane the amount of content that is available in the game. It feels so much more alive than GTA 4 or 5. I went back to the game thinking it was not going to be nearly as good as I remember, but nah it has nothing to do with rose tented goggles, It's just such an amazing game.
Mount and Blade Bannerlord, trying to make enough in trade to buy cool stuff for my naked dude. 😎
I just started Star Wars: Force Unleashed II. I never played the series when it came out and am just getting around to it now, but it’s fantastic!
Hell yeah! Both of the Force Unleashed games are awesome. I'm working on wrapping up Jedi Survivor right now.
About to start Amnesia Bunker
I was playing Diablo 4 this weekend, paired with an occasional Trails to Azure and Final Fantasy XiV trip. My RPG group meets in 30 minutes, so maybe I will play a bit D4 afterwards. Or Trails. Or FF.
Playing zero k, a FOSS total annihilation inspired rts I recently discovered.
I just started Yakuza Like a Dragon. Holy crapballs, this game is good! I’m only 4 hours into it but damn, the story, dialog; it’s great. I’m on steam deck. It’s verified on deck and runs like a champ.
I just finished Yakuza Zero and that was a wild ride. Looks like the other games are similar. Dumped a lot of hours on that one. Enjoy it!
Little late but got elden ring finally and I'm loving it.
My partner and I have just started Remnant, about 9 hours in so far this weekend. Really enjoying it :)
Minecraft if the kids are about. Battlefield 2042 if they're not.
Getting back into modding skyrim after not having played it for around 5 or so years!
Not PLAYING, but I went to the big Xbox show in person. There was some interesting things shown and the 45 minute Starfield presentation was very impressive, though it makes me scared it may be too ambitious a project.
Think "No Man's Sky" + a full trading/construction/1st-3rd person travel/combat system.
They may be trying to do too much. We'll see!
If I find some time this weekend, probably some Dead Cells, trying to get 2 BC. I also have Elden Ring waiting for me though, so maybe that instead :D
Making my way through Diablo IV
I'm still finishing up all of the past game stuff on Jedi survivor while i wait for final fantasy XVI. Outside of that Im playing snk vs capcom cardfighters 2 on the neogeo pocket color.
Well the weekend is over but I will be continuing to play 2v2 in Mechabellum with a friend of mine. Has been fun even though we get crushed all the time.
I was about halfway through Tears of the Kingdom, but then the Miyoo Minu Plus I had ordered a month ago was delivered and I spent the rest of the weekend playing Wario Land 2 and Super Mario Land 2. Nice blasts from the past and I really love the miyoo hardware.
Late to the thread, but Sims 4!
Had the urge to play Doom (2016), installed it and booted it up. Started a new campaign and quickly rembered why I've not beaten it on nightmare yet...Imps... psychic sharpshooter imps.
FFXIV, like always, and probably just that because i'm also reading a lot of comics right now
Fallout 4VR with that FRIK mod
Got Baldurs Gate 2 on a steam sale and played a few hours. I haven't played much in the last year or so (aside from a brief obsession with Hades and Inscryption), and it was pretty nice to sink a few hours into it.
Diablo iv… first time playing and it’s incredibly addictive
Been playing heaps of Honkai Star Rail, Jedi Survivor and Ghost Wire Tokyo. Can't wait for Pikmin 4. That will be all I play for a bit when it comes out!
Lots of sf6 and finishing diablo 4
I hosted a Barotrauma event with my inclusive Linux gaming community. We had 5 people playing through a campaign that we started early this year, and we ended up playing for a long time.
Still playing elden ring. I love this game!
Just picked up CSGO again, am 200hours in so far but really feel stuck in silver 1, so I kinda hate it
Where are my ToTK folks ?
70% completion. Going for Ganondorf fight today.
They're all busy in Hyrule. Speaking of which......
