I’ve got wallet and lighter front right, phone and cigs front left, and keys on a carabiner tucked into back right. Back left is basically always empty.
Yeah it's uncomfortable as hell to sit with anything in back pockets. I've actually utilized this at work. My customers often have me sign out contractor keys that I must return before leaving. Keeping them in a back pocket prevents me from driving away with them. I'll know as soon as I sit down if I didn't return them
I've never thought about it but I keep my phone in my left pocket. It stays on dnd most of the time and I hardly use it especially when I'm out. The right pocket it for the stuff I'm likely to pull out and use.
Other than that:
If at work: cargo pants so top 2 pants have nothing normally, back left or right keys, bottom 2 left have phone and right has my wallet (actually a pouch so one pocket actual wallet middle pocket small olight, nail clippers, comb, hand sanitizer wipe, chapstick sometimes a Gerber eab. Other outer pockets on wallet hold zebera M301 and P701, with a highlighter.)
If not at work nextool mini sailor scissors and keys on left with wallet on right. Sometimes I carry a sak tinker instead of the mini sailor or Gerber.
Fucking, uh, keys and a wad of cash. Oh and phone i guess. I kinda stuff them wherever depending on what i'm wearing, i don't have that many pockets so i don't fumble for them that much. This one pair of jeans has a hole in the pocket, i don't remember which one, but basically can't put coins in that. Um. Yeah
the bandolier itself does not even have its own pockets. it has a metal ring and I have a zip up wallet on a carbiner. I basically have a bunch of stuff on carbiners.
These are all in cargo pants but default is phone front left; small wallet (leather card holder with a zip pocket with a tile in it) front right; keys back zip pocket, but recently I was in another country and did water bottle front top left; phone, large wallet due to cash & book front top left; travelcard and hotel key back zip pocket, passport & 120Ah portable charger front bottom right, coins front bottom right which surprisingly felt just fine so maybe I'm ready to become a suburban dad
I live in a humid subtropical climate. That hand towel does a lot of sweat wiping. Also hand drying after washing hands more rarely in public toilets with no towels/dryer
I swear there existed a Tumblr post back in 2012 or earlier about remembering something like EGG: wallet, phone, keys. I just can't find it anymore v.v
Front right - small wallet, minimal key set.
Front left - phone.
My wallet only holds 4 cards (id, driver's licence, health insurance, debit card), sometimes cash (notes, no coins). I just take a couple of keys, for home and office, plus a Darth Vader Lego keychain.
I vape, and I usually just hold that...
If it's jacket (or hoodie) weather, I keep my vape and keys in a jacket pocket.
When I go to the office, I have my backpack, and I transfer everything in there, except the wallet and phone.
Front right is wallet and keys front right mini pocket is pixel buds, milwaukee fastback, and file cabinet key. Front left is just my phone. Back right is work badge. Back left is typically where I collect receipts without realizing it. I also have a pen pocket by my right knee which always has a pen
Front left: phone, small bills, crow-calling whistle Front right: keys, multitool, tin of peanuts Back right: wallet Back left: spare change, spare mask, small magnet
In the Netherlands, there's no duty to carry ID with you everywhere you go, but if you happen to be asked to show ID by someone with the authority, you have to, so it's sort of mandatory in practice because you never know what'll happen.
I've done the same for years, but am thinking of making use of the second SIM slot in my personal phone and using profiles to separate everything. Many phones can also use an eSIM, so that's also an option for multiple numbers.
Phone in left front pocket, keys in right front pocket. Nothing else, that's all I need if I'm just stepping out. I have several hobbies though, and I have a separate backpack/bag for each one, loaded and ready to go.
I count to five before leaving the house. 1. Wallet, back right. 2. Cell phone, front right. 3. Keys, front left. 4. Watch, left wrist. 5. Sunglasses, usually tucked into my collar. Back left empty as well.
Honestly, I went to a small sling backpack to get everything out of my pockets. It gets uncomfortable, but I didn't realize it because I was putting everything in my pockets for so long. Sitting with one side higher because of my wallet in my back pocket, and a big bulky phone shoved against my thigh, etc. Now I have a belt case for my phone and everything else in my bag, and jeans have never been more comfortable.
Phone in front right, wallet and keys in front left. When I'm not at work, that's basically it.
I wear a small satchel at work; I keep a water bottle, clipboard, and notepad in the main storage compartment. My satchel has a few side pockets as well; one holds my pens and markers, the second holds a box cutter and a pair of gloves, and the last one holds a small first-aid kit.
Front right: phone, pen, gerber multitool
-Front left: wallet w/ yubikey, pillbox, one or two jolly ranchers. (switch jolly ranchers for cough drops occasionally )
Back right: empty. (usually saved for notes or receipts )
Back pockets: keys (connected by chain to the wallet), a folded bandana/hanky, and a spare dollar or two not kept in my wallet. In my urban environment butt-dollars are important for tip jars, street performers, panhandlers, vending machines, or other cash-based occasions at which I'd rather not whip out my whole wallet.
Front left: lighter(s), earbuds, car key(only if at work, I lock my house keys in the car as I have a habit of leaving my coat in the lunch room)
Front right: sometimes phone, if at work nothing as I put my phone in my jacket breast zip as I'm a stone mason and I really don't want to smash my phone...
Back pockets: nothing, sometimes my travel mug if I'm not wearing my work jacket.
Work trousers cargo pocket: tobacco/vape
I do, when I'm not at work. The car key has one of those little clips on, so when I'm at work the car key either goes in my left pocket if I'm not going to need my work keys, or gets clipped on my work keys. When I'm out on a weekend the car key gets clipped on the house keys
Front right is phone, front left is wallet. Keys hang on left side belt loop. Vape in left side pocket, knife in right side. I have magnetic sunglasses that I put in the back right pocket when I'm not using them. Back left is for receipts & such.
Front right, keys and lighter. Front left, cigs. Rear right, wallet. If I must carry my phone with me it'll be probably in the front left pocket alongside the cigs.
There are ten things I cycle through depending on different circumstances. Is it sunny? I'll bring a notebook. Is it rainy? I could sog it, unless I'm indoors. Am I going to get into a building? Better bring my keys, or not if not. There are tons of circumstances. The only constants are money, which I keep in the pants/skirt/jacket/shirt pocket of my dominant hand when possible, and my glasses, which I am either wearing or have in my opposite pocket when possible, the former currently safe from pickpocketers in my breast pocket of what I'm wearing underneath my sweater (unless a pickpocketer wants to go that route).
Front left- Leatherman surge, zippo, random fidgety thing.
Front right - pen, flashlight, moneyclip
Back left- phone
Back right - folded bandana, keys clipped to belt loop tucked in.
It's alot but I'm naked if I leave something behind.
