So this guy is drinking at the bar after work, and he has a few too many and ends up puking on himself. He says, "Shit, when my wife finds out I got this drunk, she's gonna kill me." The bartender says, "I know how you can get out of it. Take a twenty out of your wallet and put it in your shirt pocket. When you get home, tell your wife that some other guy puked on you, and gave you the twenty to cover the dry cleaning."
So the guy decides to try that. He gets home and, sure enough, his wife asks him what happened. He says, "I went to happy hour with some coworkers, and some guy that looked like he'd been there all day threw up on me. He gave me twenty dollars to cover the dry cleaning bill." She says, "Why do you have forty dollars, then?" He says, "He also shit in my pants."
I know it's fun to dunk on the asshole ruining our country, but I don't think we should be in the habit of sharing shopped images. That's what the extremists do, and then claim it's real. We have to be better than them. Plus, they'll use us distributing the memes as evidence of "Dems spreading fake news!"...
They do it themselves and already accuse everyone else of sharing fake stuff. Has the moral high ground really worked so far?
All I see is that lies and appeal to emotion is what has given them real power. So when it comes to ridiculing the trump administration, I say fuck it, the alternative hasn't worked so far. It's only gotten worse
It has nothing to do with morality. People largely distrust politicians and politics in general. "Never Trump" Republicans and middle-of-the-road Independents. People we actually do need to vote. They'll say "both sides are the same" when they're obviously not. When we prove them right by stooping to the extremists' level, they disengage, along with millions of other people. They won't trust us, and why should they?
agreed. it's appropriate sometimes, especially when humor and mockery is being used to generate a sentiment/vibe. no one believes this meme image is meant to establish an orderly basis of factual reality based consensus about Trump. it's a joke.
besides, there is no amount of "high roading" with facts and logic that will reverse millions of hours of targeted brainwashing that caused a third of the population to vote against their own interests. we need to use multiple tactics, and appeals to humor/vibes/insults is one way we can make those backwards voters feel differently.
end of the day, subtle manipulation of images to create a vibe WORKS on people and shifts perceptions. the left should weaponize it to achieve goals, imo.
Because... it's not the truth? At least in regards to that edited image. Republicans may not care what's real, but I do. Yeah, Trump's a piece of shit. But the one thing he can never do is to turn me into one. Even if we disagree, please take care of your family, friends, and community.
It probably is shopped because Trump wears adult diapers and when those fail, they don’t fail right as the bunghe. A brown stain below his hip or down the inside of his thigh would be more likely.
All that said, it’s an open secret that the man shits himself all day long. He’s old and it’s a thing that happens.
i agree, We dont relly need photoshops and lies, when theres plenty of truth out there thats humiliating enough as is.
but as you can see, theres a lot of people who don't give a shit about right, as long as they can dunk on the person they dont like. Same issue as those fake TPUSA tweets people were obsessed with making a few years ago. Does nothing but muddy waters and provide cover for right wing actions.
Mind you, it is pretty funny, especially when you think it probably really infuriates His Royal Stinkiness. I hope he sees it. He does think photoshops are real, after all.
Why does a man infamous for shitting himself on the reg for decades, think that light coloured trousers are something to even entertain in the wardrobe.
Also does someone have an antidote to this image? I think it maybe caused a minor trauma
I mean there're plenty of accounts of him shitting himself around people. Whether the pic is real or not, the man should not own light trousers and should have realised this when he was getting hosed down every time they finished an episode of The Apprentice.
It’s fake. He wears adult diapers, so a more realistic failure mode would be a brown stain appearing down the inside of his thigh. Depends don’t explode right at the asshole.
