How do you have an article about Kimmel being suspended for his comments without actually printing what said?
We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it. In between the finger-pointing, there was, uh, grieving on Friday − the White House flew the flags at half-staff, which got some criticism, but on a human level, you can see how hard the president is taking this.
Yes, he's at the fourth stage of grief: construction. Demolition, construction. This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he called a friend; this is how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish, OK? And it didn't just happen once. And then we installed the most beautiful chandelier. Responses you wouldn't believe. Who thinks like that, and why are we building a $200 million chandelier in the White House? Is it possible that he's doing it intentionally so he can be bad about that instead of the (Jeffrey) Epstein list?
All true, and technically not even about Charlie Kirk, just the reaction to his death...
It's so disgusting. The GOP and ring-wingers have such a hard-on for a post-truth world. All their lies could come straight out of Orwell's 1984: They are the party of peace, Trump wants to punish pedophiles, Charlie Kirk practiced love, Ukraine started the war, their economic policies are good for the country, they believe in small-government... It just goes on and on. While those of us that care about actual truth are just rolling our eyes as hard as we can.
That's not because of weight though. That's just one thing being affected more by air resistance. In a vacuum, there would be no difference. In fact, they did just that during the Apollo 15 mission on the moon using a feather and a hammer:
It's weird that it's completely necessary for every single person to make that choice! Also, the kind of people that actually parent and don't just unleash their loud, hyperactive child on strangers don't get memes made about them.
Source: I was a loud, hyperactive child, but I was taught respect, consideration, and made to follow rules.
I actually think now is the worst time to adopt 3DS's! They aren't making them anymore, which you would think would mean they'd be cheaper, but it's Nintendo hardware. Collectors, scalpers, and enthusiasts are all willing to pay inflated prices for the hardware because... this is their last chance. There's around 2,000 games for it, so if you have physical games or hack yours, it's still completely viable as a powerful, portable gaming console. I think prices for the hardware and physical games will only go up from here.
Also, because the hardware isn't supported anymore, any replacement parts or knowledge won't come directly from Nintendo and will also be overpriced and hard to find...
FYI, the attitude "I haven't personally experienced it, so it either doesn't exist or I don't care", whether online or off is considered extremely immature and selfish by most people.
My food delivery didn't show up last night. Clearly, antifa did it!
