It's true.
It's true.
It's true.
I think this kind of treatment, more than anything, is going to inspire copycats. The media's reporting on school shooters has tangibly been linked to an increase in those incidents because people want their message out.
They're making him look really fucking cool.
They really should consider doing active shooter drills at their next board meeting.
Facts.
Well, copycats will only boost ratings, so it might be intentional.
He does look like a statue that escaped from the Vatican. I hadn't realized it yet.
I’m not gay but I’d do him
It feels deliberate at this point. Are they trying to pour gas on the fire for some reason? Like maybe they found CSAM on his home computer, so they are trying to chum the waters and make this guy the face of the rebellion so that when all is revealed, everyone who cheered for him will be demoralized. Is Thrawn working for the feds, maybe?
Edit: Holy crap your edit changed the entire tone of my response. From "They are making this guy the face" to "they are setting him up with horrible stuff" really, really changes my response. Especially adding that CSAM bit.
So, my response below is him being treated in a way that brings recognition. Not about CSAM. Added the original comment before the expansive edit. I should really quote people more...

.... I'm OK with that.
I'm also OK with potential school shooters seeing this and thinking "Wow, people are going to remember this guy! Maybe...."
Yeah, that's my bad. I could tell I hadn't been clear enough so I edited the comment, but your point is also accurate.

If school shooters were more precise and meticulous with their planning as to take out just the fucking worst asshole bullies. I don’t know if I am allowed to post my thoughts about that in this comm or should post it on the internet at all, but…
Maybe they secretly support him, but have to be tacit. Supporting any kind of violence is unfashionable lately, and media workers especially could lose their job.
But it's easy to delete all the other photos off your camera and say, "This is the only photo I got in focus."
It's not really about him. I don't think murdering people is the solution to any problem. But this incident is revealing an undercurrent of anger and frustration that has been too-long ignored. The revelation is the object lesson, not the murder. Rich people are more aware that they are not as insulated from the disasters to come.
Luigi doesn't need to be a saint, or a prophet, or a leader in any way. He took horrifying action because he is an outlier, and the world is full of outliers. People are murdered all the time, but the response shows that he wasn't that far outside the lines, and there are probably a lot more outliers wondering if they can be as famous.
The guy in the right is the most NYPD looking guy I've ever seen.
I can literally hear him speaking
it's amazing how they keep flanking him with the most miserable, evil-looking people you can imagine
They’re cops, what do you expect?
I think it’s the pose, the face held up high in pride.
