Similar story happened to me literally yesterday. Wanted a new vacuum, saw that a construction store chain that has a store nearby has some on offer, research them for a while on my phone, go buy it, use it.

Then later, I get ads for that exact model and some others from that exact store on my phone while browsing for something completely unrelated.

Yeah, not system can know that I already bought something offline, but still...

Then why go against the AUR and not the official mirrors? The former isn't always exactly the epitome of securely packaged trusted applications

I think this is a huge release of just because of accessibility, that's always been a pain point (read: basically impossible) with LaTeX, I heard ConTeXt is better there but I never got into it. typst on the other hand is very approachable and makes a lot of sense.

While I don't need accessibility very much nowadays, it's basically a requirement for usage in the public sector here as PDF/UA. Which I guess is the main motivation.

Looking forward to trying it out when it hits my repositories, which should be soonish.

Another option is docbook, but I never particularly enjoyed working with that...

Similarly here. Have an Odroid with that platform, it wasn't cheap but it came with several advantages:

• 4 SATA ports on addition to the M2 slot
• Intel QSV
• 2 x 2.5 Gbit Ethernet (I only have gigabit at home though)

Very powerful machine for the power usage, I ran a really old Athlon before though (from 2010 or so that I retrofitted with 16GB RAM) that did most stuff just fine. But I wanted some transcoding and also possibly a smaller case.

I run everything bare metal though.

Richtig denn wie wir alle wissen benötigt man dann weniger Waschpulver, nämlich nur noch eine Packung statt zwei. Schon die Hälfte gespart.

Kleiner Tipp für danach: die Lebensmittelpreise können einem egal sein, wenn man einfach nur jedes Mal für 10 Euro einkaufen geht.

Mir gibt der Laden auch nix, aber ich denke, die Einschränkung, dass für bestimmte Stellen die begründete Anforderung rein darf, ergibt Sinn. Der Prozess der Frau wäre ja dann gleich ausgegangen. Und wenn kirchliche Arbeitgeber die Voraussetzung auch bei nicht-notwendigen Stellen reinschreiben, machen sie sich ja auch angreifbar.

Es gibt halt tatsächlich in einer kirchlichen Organisation Stellen, die nur von Personen der jeweiligen Konfession abgedeckt werden können. Allerdings muss das jetzt eben auch pro Stelle begründet sein. Ich als Konfessionsloser habe auf einer Stelle als Pfarrer oder sonstigem religiösen Kram einfach nichts zu suchen; das macht mich aber für eine Stelle in der Diakonie in der Personalbearbeitung nicht ungeeignet.

Es verhält sich mit anderen Stellen ähnlich: hier kann ein Arbeitgeber ja auch fordern, dass der Bewerber Qualifikationen mitbringt, die er selber bezahlt hat. Alternativ könnte er seinen Beschäftigten die Kirchensteuer erlassen und das Gehalt entsprechend anpassen.

What do you mean by that? The example did collapse multiple zero sections for IPv4 as well (127.69), and IPv6 can also only collapse one block, namely the longest one, otherwise it'd be ambiguous as to how to pad each. Or am I misunderstanding?

Mal sehen, ob das mit den $40Mrd was wird. Nur 20 davon sollen ja von der Regierung kommen, die andere Hälfte von Banken. Letztere haben aber schon gesagt, sie sehen keinen Weg, den Kredit selber mit Argentinien abzusichern, d.h. das müsste die US-Regierung ebenfalls übernehmen. Faktisch müssten sie also für den kompletten Kredit aufkommen, ob sie das Geld haben, weiß ich nicht.

People here don't understand that without Red Hat and their commercial offering, Linux today would have a popularity and market share comparable to FreeBSD, if that.

Meanwhile, nobody is forced to use RHEL, personally I think it's an annoying distribution (tried it through CentOS once), but if you need Enterprise level support and guarantees, you can expect to pay enterprise prices. Or, you know, just use fedora, their upstream.

Repo means repossessed, which is only applicable to items purchased under a credit (e.g. you take out a credit to but a car, can't pay it, the car gets repo'd); also they only happen on unsecured loans, it'd be the security that would be transferred to the lender, which in this case is Russian, not Ukrainian.
