Let's get real: What's your favourite Dinosaur? And why?
Naturally, it’s Ankylosaurus. Just look at this armoured tactical turtle and tell me you do not love this silly little guy!
Just wanting to eat his plants. Wanna gnaw on him? Tough luck, it hurts and you cannot crack that shell. Also, he will fucking break your kneecaps with his built-in hammer while you’re bothering him.

Camarasaurus, because I found a tooth of one while volunteering on a dig site
Triceratops. The only thing wrong with rhinos are that they have too few horns and not enough armor plating.
There was a monoceratops. Hell, there were ceratopsians who didn't have horns at all.
I like the triceratops. Having three pointy bits makes it 50% more awesome than rhinos.
Unicorns are even lower on the list then?

Just looks like a big derpy lemony shaped dolphin, with a snoot that 76% more boopable.
Very awesome animals, but I don't think these are technically dinos.

The head knocking matches those things must have had within their species would have been insane! Like goats, only like, a hundred goats per goat.
Edit: Apparently, they were not that big, so maybe only like two handfuls of goats. Which is still a lot of goats.
I always thought they'd sound like coconuts when they rammed together.
I bet these things probably had some really cool brain protection similar to how today's woodpeckers do.

Quetzalcoatlus. Technically it isn't a dinosaur but that makes it - and me accordingly - even more special.
Same. Giraffe-sized flying nightmare with the wingspan of a Cessna that can swallow you whole. Hell yeah.
Fantail. It is pretty cute.
If it has to be extinct, then Deinonychus. It is like the Velociraptor, but is actually big enough to mean business.
I have a few.
By far the frontrunner is Parasaurolophus. Hadrosaurs are cool, Lambeosaurid Hadrosaurs are cooler. Not to besmirch my boy Edmontosaurus tho. The biggest Hadrosaur is also on my list.
I am also a big fan of the Borealopelta. This is a Nodosaurid Ankylosaur, meaning it has shoulder spikes instead of a tail club. I like this guy because of the story of its discovery, as well as the fantastic display at the Royal Tyrrell Museum. Also helps that it's the most intact armored dino ever found.
Finally there is the Regaliceratops. Like a Triceratops, but with a super fun crown!
Spinosaurus.
Because it stymies paleontologists seemingly every time one of them tries to figure it out.
Stegosaurus. Cant beat the classic. Though Iguanodon is close second.
There is a company called Stego Industries that has a Stegosaurus as their logo. Sounds cool, right? Wrong! They are awful. They make plastic liners that go below concrete slabs, so under the whole building. STEGOSAURUS MEANS ROOF LIZARD!!! The only construction product worthy of the Stego name should be shingles >:[

Stegosaurus is pretty great, I was always a fan of them, especially their thagomizers.
At this moment it is the stegosaurus. The tiny ass head, huge plates down the back, thunder thighs, and thagomizer named by a cartoonist is just awesome sauce.
Plus there are more millions of years between the stegosaurus and the tyrannosaurus than between the tyrannosaurus and humans.

Ankylosaurus is a strong contender. Really strong contender. But stegosaurus is still MVP.
Protoceratops because I am completely convinced they would be cool hanging out on the couch, playing fetch, and otherwise acting like a dinosaur house pet.
When I was a kid I really liked allosaurus. Everyone knew and liked tyrannosaurus, which made him too mainstream. I also had a book with really cool visualisation of allosaurus which helped me to prefer this bad mf.
Allosaurus is like a T-Rex that never skipped arm day. Respect.

Titanosaurs! 100+ feet long, 100+ tonnes. Imagine if a blue whale had legs and a long neck. And it walked around. We would be like mice to them, or insects to the largest ones.

Dinosaur? None really. But I really like the explosion of life in the Cambrian (give or take a little) period was like nature trying out all kinds of absolutely crazy shit just to see what worked. I really like just checking out the era, truly alien and bizarre. So no favorite dinosaur, but definitely an era.

Postosuchus is terrifying. Imagine a 20 ft (6 m) alligator with long legs that can run long distances. They think it might have even run upright on its hind legs. Alas, not a dinosaur
As a fellow suchus enjoyed may I introduce the quinkana, a land crocodile that chased land mammals, would have lived along side komodo dragons and would've been seen by indigenous Australians

I have a soft spot for two dinos because of videogames:
Young me: triceratops all the way. A bulldozer with horns, plus it wouldn't eat me. Not as over the top with horns as styracosaurus.
Current me: ankylosaurs. Always thought they were unique, but young me also found them weird looking. Now I see it as a giant armadillo with a massive club.
Shout out to ichthyosaurs and pterosaurs. Not dinos but very awesome and terrifying creatures. I feel much safer knowing neither is around anymore though. gh.
Mine is Triceratops, they look cool with their horns and frill. They were cool because they could defend themselves from T-Rex in the books.
