Can you elaborate? I wasn't aware of this.
Because of a disability, I can't drink or do recreational drugs. So soda. Soda is my vice and it's so not good for me
- work laptop (dell something or other. It's a chungus)
- gaming PC (custom)
- smartphone (galaxy s23)
- "smart"watch (Fitbit inspire 3)
- Switch
I love in Washington state and honestly have had next to no problems with people in roundabouts. They're pretty common here and people use them as intended. Wherever you are all from, I hope it gets better lol
USA, WA, IBEW. Less than 5 years, but ours doesn't change until 10 years(? I think I need to look this up).
20 days PTO accrual in a year, 2 personal holidays. No sick days.
I believe ours goes up to 28 days/year once at 20years with the company? It takes a lot for us
ADHDer here. Same for the caffeine and the pot.
Possibly similar, but the drugs given before an awake surgery also do absolutely nothing to me when they're supposed to make you loopy and calm your anxiety. Nope. I'm entirely lucid for you shoving the tube into my heart, thank you.

It used to be Astroneer, but now I think I'm on Peglin or Vampire Survivors (or Spell Brigade if I have friends online).
They're both just so mindless and relaxed for the most part. Also typically short and sweet with a definite end so it feels wrapped up.
Grabbing onto this comment chain to ask if anyone knows a good burger place up in Bellingham/Ferndale/Blaine?
I feel like this is somewhat a common characterization within WLW/lesbian spaces. A stronger, surer, but golden retriever of a woman is definitely something I've seen a lot of.
In terms of a hetero couple, though, that's a lot harder, especially within NSFW spaces. In terms of NSFW stuff, a lot of it is from a male gaze, so the potentially emasculating character of a protector woman I imagine is going to be extremely hard to find. Maybe look for genderbent things if you're looking for that specific likeness in a hetero relationship. I imagine there's probably a fair amount of that out there - but still probably more obscure. Like a female Superman and male Lois Lane would be something I imagine would fit what you're looking for? (For a lesbian version, Supergirl x Lena Luthor have a small but strong fanbase)
Good luck!
Maybe your body is telling you to live on the other side of the world. You'd be impervious to jet lag.
Either an ADHD meme to ~13 year old me, or something that says you are gay but in a much more relatable and eye opening way.
I appreciate the response and I'll give a call as soon as offices open to see if I can have someone take a look. Cheers!
Ohhh. Maybe that's the case. I've learned I'm rather allergic to blue, so perhaps there's a localized reaction there.
It's not over the joint but it is near. It's no longer swollen nor has any signs of infection, but I wonder if the initial swelling maybe created a bruise I can't see that is just deep enough to feel like joint pain?
Nah, just elbow pain thankfully
Mind, I've had many tattoos, but this is the first big one on my forearm and woof my elbow is rejecting this world.
It's been almost a week since getting it, healing is coming along nicely, but the inner side of my elbow joint is just in crazy pain, especially as my palm faces upwards. Bending is near impossible.
I haven't done anything with that arm that would otherwise make that kind of pain - like picking up bricks or whatever. So unless I slept wrong for the past three days, my guess is that it's coming from the tattoo somehow.
Good evening, I'm Geometric Croce, here with Ogee Cass for this evening's segment.
I disagree. Most true enthusiasts treat their weapons with respect and follow the rules.
Well, hm, maybe that's more anecdotal than I realize. Enthusiasts *that I've met or interacted with... But truly, while there are a lot of chucklefucks with guns, I imagine there are more that respect weapons and follow the rules.
I've seen some that can potentially be fit into a recessed light, but I'd have to do some research to figure out how to know if the cans are attached to studs. Beyond that, I can't seem to find anything. Anyone have ideas or tips?
Or other permanent body things.
Or really just any permanent body thing.
A while back I asked what kinds of shoes might work for me and there was a lot of discussion about barefoot shoes. Well, I found a small local sports store that physically sells Lems and I went to try some on.
Wow. These are the best and most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I got them about a month ago at this point and I have probably put 2-7 miles on them every day and according to my Fitbit, that's nearing 100 miles and they're still the most comfortable shoes ever.
So thanks, community! I'm super happy I asked !

This one's an earworm.
I have a real addiction to soda and I desperately need to cut back at least on the sugar.
My problem is, is that the zero sugar ones - whatever sweetener is used hurts my throat (and tastes awful), and same goes for the diet versions. I could force myself to drink bubbly or La Croix, but knowing myself, that's only going to cause an awful rebound soon enough. So I've been trying to find alternatives that don't break the bank. Poppi is fine and I've tried other low sugar bottles from online stores here and there. That's expensive, though.
So I guess has anyone tried to cut sugar in other ways? I have tried watering things down and I've tried using just sparkling water to keep the carbonation but water things down. I have also tried sparkling water and powdered drink mixes and that is truly awful, imo. I haven't tried mixing a Soda Zero with a Soda (regular) and I wonder if that would help? At least to begin sort of a transition?
I dunno. I'm babbling at this point. I know it's mostly a test of will for addictions, but this is literally my only vice because I don't smoke and won't drink. So soda is the way, hahaha.
What are y'all's opinions?
I like slatted for the idea of a French cleat system where I can put some shelves or lamps up without taking up floor space. But cloth is also nice for the comfort and it seems more 'bed space' appropriate.
Since the election I've kinda buried my head in the sand to try and stay sane, so I'm not sure what projections are looking like for the real estate market. Unfortunately I need to move pretty ASAP and I'm having the worst luck with rentals.
So, anyone have any advice or an idea of the outlook in the next few months?
I've got heart problems which means my feet are pretty swollen, so normal shoes aren't really comfortable anymore. I've been wearing Alterras and I love them and the wide toe box, but the wide sizes are only in a boring color. So I'm looking for suggestions from you lovely folks.
I can't find an actual answer anywhere.
I'm trying to declutter my desk and a KVM switch sounds like the right way to go. I have two monitors that I use for work/play, but I'm having trouble figuring out if the output from my work laptop dock would be okay to input into the KVM to then output to dual monitors.
Anyone got a clue or has any experience with this?
I love horror but apparently I don't vibe with a lot of recommendations I find online.
I'd seen so much hype about Event Horizon and I absolutely hated it and didn't find it scary. I just watched Late Night With the Devil and whole it was definitely enjoyable, it wasn't the least but frightening. I also just watched Let the Right One In and really didn't like it. It also was not a horror movie in my opinion.
I will say one of my favorites is Sinister or the first Conjuring. Sinister for the stomach twisting dread and suspence throughout and Conjuring for the same.
So, what movies do you find to be the scariest?

Stumbled upon a rose and dahlia garden with a ton of different species. It was such a a gorgeous place and a gorgeous day. I took a bunch of pictures, but this one really sings for me.
Just checking in on y'all.
I'm stuck on this personally. I love my manual, I have a tiny little Mazda 2 and I have driven that thing absolutely everywhere because I can control it better than any automatic I've ever driven. But I've been casually looking for a new car and I'd love to have an electric, but I don't want to lose that level of control and everything I love about a manual.
What do you all think? What's your take?
