Plants only absorb CO² and release oxygen when photosynthesizing, which requires sunlight. At night plants undergo cellular respiration where they absorb oxygen and release CO². Some sealed terrariums haven't had any water, air, or fertilizer for decades.

Long John Silvers does that, though they are pretty rare these days. Never really thought about it, but that's as close to an English chip shop as we get.

The share of pedestrians increased over that period, which may have had something to do with it. I suspect cell phone use while driving makes up a large part as well.

More like it illustrates environmental policy. Pretty sure that is the Oak Street Beach curve on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. The curve has needed rebuilding to accommodate changes to water levels for many years. A $3.4 billion rebuild of that whole section of the lakefront that will add more land between the building and the lake has been going through an agonizingly slow approval process. When it finally gets done it will add more park space providing ample room for bike traffic as well as car traffic.

I work with a guy in his 70s who has gotten his credit card or bank card info stolen at least 5 times in the last year. He simply doesn't have the digital education to identify a spam email or a scam call from a real one. It's all just too overwhelming for him.

Except both those issues were wedge issues chosen by Republicans to gain votes from the religious. Those weren't major platforms for Democrats until Republicans forced the issues.

The white man will try to satisfy us with symbolic victories rather than economic equity and real justice.

Those victories are very much NOT symbolic to gay people and women. They are very real and very crucial to their welfare.
