  • Ok, but it's not.

Agreed. That's the interesting question to me. Why wasn't it simply the decision between democracy and fascism?

Did people not see it in that perspective? Or did they see it that way but still choose fascism? Does that mean people don't believe in democracy anymore? Or are they so convinced by propaganda that fascism is the only way to save us from an imaginary threat?

The reason matters because that determines what is needed to solve the problem.

  • I was once paintballing against a guy wearing one of those puffy down filled coats. The coat made him almost invulnerable because the paintballs wouldn't break against them. They just bounced off. I have to think that an inflatable suit would work the same way with pepper balls. It's goofy, but also a great tactical choice for multiple reasons.

  • Hm. ?

  • It doesn't feel right that while people protest peacefully, immigrants are getting beaten, tortured, and deported illegally. It feels like people are okay with that as long as the government doesn't come for white people too.

  • I hate to say it, but she's right. Trump was very clear about his plans. Anyone paying attention knew what was going to happen. Any sane person with a pulse would have won the election if the public wasn't so apathetic, ignorant, and/or misinformed.

  • Really can’t tell if this is a bad astroturfer, or a person with poor reading comprehension.

    Ad hominem

As someone who is not a US citizen, nor does he live there, he is not subject to the US espionage act.

He is subject to it if he lives in or enters a country with an extradition treaty with the US.

The US has helped Israel kill over 200 journalists in the past two years alone. Would you like a list of all their names?

You are moving the goalposts. This entire discussion has been about comparing the US to China. China arrests and kills their own journalists in their own country. That is the list I provided you. Provide the same for the US or admit you are wrong.

  • Proof the US killed 2 journalists accidentally. You claimed the docs proved the US killed more than a hundred intentionally which was a lie.

In 2024 Assange plead guilty to a charge of conspiring to obtain and disclose classified U.S. national defence documents under the Espionage Act of 1917. He was sentenced to time served (62 months). Again, you lied.

But let's say I agree with your premise that Assange is an example of what you claim. That is one journalist. I provided names of more than a hundred arrested, tried, and jailed by China. Can you do the same for the US?
