I'm not in favor of wishing death upon anyone. I find it all rather distasteful, but Bobby Vylans views seem in line with US death penalty practices, don't they? Death to those who commit the terriblest of crimes.
A singer in our country had the agreement that he would only sing on an event for Jewish kids if there were no political statements being made during his performance. So of course the first thing he noticed was a stand handing out pro-Zionist pamphlets.
He got on stage, explained that that agreement was violated, therefore couldn't perform and as a result got called anti-Semetic by one of our political leaders. Which resulted in the artist having to go into hiding, as he now started receiving death threats. The, in my opinion, gigantic piece of trash that called him out insists she did nothing wrong. Because taking responsibility for your actions and words is only something others need to do of course.
So.. Insisting agreements with Jewish organisations are followed: you fucking anti-Semite.
Bob Vylan is the band - if they're singling out the frontman, they mean Bobby Vylan (not to be confused with their drummer, Bobbie Vylan). Feels like they might be getting outraged before engaging any reading comprehension...
Well worth checking them out - loads of upcoming dates, all over the UK, EU and US. Get 'em while they're hot!
Oh yes because they've done nothing to deserve the hate, totally innocent bunch of people.
Imagine how hard it must be for anti-Semitism advocacy groups right now, the amount of mental gymnastics they have to perform in order to continue to be the victim must leave them utterly exhausted. I imagine they can only manage one whiny tweet and then they have to take a week off.

Let's be clear,anti-semitism is wrong, and what's been going on isn't helping matters for israel unaffiliated jewish support groups that are actually doing positive work.
Yeah, these days when I read anything about antisemitic crime I always have to check if it'a actually people being racist or if someone just said israel bad. And of course israel doing their genocide is also driving up actual antisemitic crimes, because plenty of people think that israel=all jews, and understandably people are angry so they look for a "deserving" target. Which israel is also not helping with since their constant cries of antisemitism are implying exactly that.
And in reality it's not even all israelis (not like most people living there these days chose it), and while far too many seem to support the genocide, they're also under heavy propaganda.
I just love how "anti-Semitism" has become "Israel can do whatever the fuck they want and never face any criticism or consequences because Jews were persecuted in the Holocaust." This now includes Israel committing its own Holocaust on Palestinians.
It's very gross that jews really do go through awful shit, and republican morons weaponize it to attempt a desperate, transparent lie about a genocide.
The only time republican losers ever use the language of caring about people is when they think they're being sneaky about being evil.
An artist chanting words on a stage at a show.. Isn't this that freeze peach those Republicans claim to support to their dying breath?
I don't see how calling for the death of an institution that's openly committing warcrimes and even admitting to them, is really that outlandish, especially for an artist during a performance.
If he decides to still come here (personally I would try not to ever even visit here if I wasn't already here), then he should alternate it with some kind of rhyming version for ICE.
"Death" and "IDF" work pretty well.
Or get Vanilla Ice to bring back "Ice Ice Baby" but make it more of a command instead of just repetition. Ice ICE, Baby.
I want to see ICE blood everywhere. Not one member in the whole org should survive. Not. One.
I don't know Vanilla's politics, but he performed for Trump. So did the Village People, though, so who knows. Maybe Trump's a fan and threw a huge wad of cash at him.
