Kamala Harris signals she'll go further than Biden on marijuana legalization "we need to legalize it and stop criminalizing this behavior"
  • The DEA has really dragged it out

Color me surprised. It's not like they've made millions by confiscating people's possessions in the name of "the drug war". Oh wait, that's exactly what they've been doing since they were established. Seriously, fuck the DEA.

  • Reddit is making sitewide protests basically impossible
  • I lieu of that, I'd say the mods should just go limp. Stop moderating content and let posters run wild. The company needs to realize just how much their business model depends on all that unpaid labor.

  • OWLTURD apathy
  • I feel as though apathy wouldn't come crashing in with an angry face on. I would more expect apathy to just sort of fall in to where the other emotions are going on.

Signed, a person who often has apathy falling into where the other emotions are going on.

  • A new law has been passed in California which prohibits the use of words like "buy" and "purchase" on digital storefronts like Steam.
  • Except you can't make Steam offer their content offline like that. By altering the language they use it effectively makes them more transparent about what you are really paying for. So, in order to use the word "buy" or "purchase" they would have to make the content available offline, or they have to use a different word that essentially means "rent" or "subscribe" cause that is what is actually happening.

  • For $12 per month, Panels provides a range of high-definition wallpapers for phones, a hefty price tag for something that has always been freely available online.

  • I love people with kids who are oblivious they're shitty parents.
  • It would be nice if boomers and older Gen Xers would stop cashing out and then blaming millennials and zennials for the inflation being out of control and the economy not being the monolith it was in the 1980's. You know, the 80's during which that little tech boom thing happened right around the time a famous actor got elected president and immediately started de-regulating everything under the sun so that huge corporations could start squeezing employees and consumers like the chattel they are, thereby inflating the value of goods, services, and land.

  • EVs are cleaner than gas cars, but a growing share of Americans don't believe it
  • Well, gas stations don't really want electric because it would cut into their main source of revenue so I think I may have spotted the bottleneck.

The only way charging stations will become prevalent is if municipalities start setting them up. Either that or grocery stores. Though Answers with Joe made an interesting case for Buccees adopting charging stations as a method of generating revenue through increased tourism at their locations.

  • Don’t ever hand your phone to the cops
  • Remember when we used to say, "Don't put your name on the internet?" And now it's everywhere?

Mine isn't, go ahead and look it up. You won't find my name anywhere in the internet.

Here it is encrypted so only you can read it: >!John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt!<
