Handheld keyboard with a touchpad mouse. It's backlit and has a laser pointer if you want to amuse yourself with pets.

Also, if you're using a linux pc you can 100% view DRM content on your TV. There is no barrier to linux playing DRM on a television.

  • I still want to allow the TV to go on the internet, because I (and my girlfriend) like to watch YouTube, Netflix and such on the TV as well.

If you're using a jellyfin server, why would you need your TV to handle these? Just use a fucking browser on your server.

  • She's basically an '80s republican so I'd say the praise was genuine. The fact that we were forced to choose between her and the orange fascist wasn't really a choice. It was literally the lesser of two evils and a lot of people decided not to choose because of it. Which is why we are here.

As much blane as republicans have for how fucked up things are right now, democrats share a good portion of the blame for shoving this tool down our throats.

And before you all start in with the "if only you had bothered to vote". I fucking did vote. It didn't end up mattering.

  • Israel can do no wrong because their imaginary friend told them that they're special, and everyone else sucks. the world can't get over their guilt over letting Germany murder 6 million Jews. And besides, brown people's lives are inconsequential, especially if they pray to the wrong imaginary friend.

  • The Orville was a much more old trek-style show, and people universally loved it more than the new trek, despite being progressive.

I'm an old school Trekkie and pretty leftist myself and I absolutely hated the Orville. I didn't see it as doing anything worthy of such praise. It had a lot of tired humor and (badly) recycled story lines from Star Trek. And I have thoroughly enjoyed just about every bit of new Trek that's come out.

I also don't agree with your point about them just presenting things instead of subtly insinuating. The only things they present without integrating it into the story are LGBTQ characters and their personal situations. And that's only because those things should be absolutely normal and unremarkable at this point. The fact that conservatives still have issues with this is entirely because conservatives are socially backwards. And they've been made that way by a constant stream of backward propaganda via Fox News and local media outlets that have been taken over by multibillion dollar corporations who have injected their conservative views onto local news outlets en masse.

In other words them not getting it or enjoying it isn't a problem for Star Trek it's a problem for conservatives.

Edit: I also find it hilarious that you think that old Trek was in any way subtle about their social commentary. Having the first interracial kiss on national TV on top of several story lines dealing directly with racism was far far from subtle.

  • History has taught us that the violent overthrow of a government, even a hopelessly corrupt one, never leads to a better state.

Yes, we need to strip billionaires of their power in the government. But we need to do it through laws and an orderly takeover of power through our electoral system. The minute we take up arms, things will go from bad to worse in the blink of an eye.

  • This right here is the correct answer. The cold war propaganda against the Soviet Union has poisoned the general american view of the words socialism and communism. However, every single socialist policy the United States has is insanely popular with the general public.
