Not using thunder(on Boost) but I also browse "all" instead of local. I see mostly new stuff though if I browse top then the top stays pretty stagnant until the next time increment.
With certain family history they start screening earlier and can catch things at earlier stages both of which equate to better outcomes.
Genetic sequencing is a near replacement nowadays but generally is not covered and can cost a few hundred.
His dad lived til 94 and his mom until 88. I'm not holding out hope on that end. His faculties don't really matter, just like Reagan's second term being primarily run by Nancy and her astrologer. Sure death will come for him as it does everyone, questionable what state the world and nation will be in by then.
There are a lot of physical things I miss from being young, eyesight, faster recovery from injury and illness, etc. I didn't have money, I had unmanaged depression, I lacked a lot of self esteem. However, I had more friends(or at least acquaintances), more hope in people, much better physical fitness, and in hindsight a lot of my worries weren't that serious.
Aging and youth are both mixed bags. But I'll take being older without a doubt. -A younger millennial
Mamdami is WFP (working families party) endorsed and they've been going to bat for him too in their newsletters. While 3rd party is more viable in NY its primarily in an endorsement type thing as candidates can run under multiple parties (thus listed multiple times on the same ballot) and you choose the party you vote for them under. Theoretically, this gives the 3rd party more sway in pushing policies but it is rarely straight 3rd party candidates. Unsure if the city has more 3rd parties I'm unaware of (there's Republican, Democrat, Conservative, and WFP).
I mean it's already happened/is happening. Plenty have refused to endorse and some have outright opposed him because of Israel and his skin color (see NY gov Hochul, Senator Schumer, and Senator Gillibrand). However, both AOC and Bernie have endorsed him. Unless Obama comes out against I'm not sure that what democrats outside of NY much less NYC say will really sway anyone more.
You got an interesting grass species if it goes 6in deep. Most grass root systems are closer to the surface.
I'd say trim it until you get a decent rain like the other poster mentions.
Cardboard or tarp on top when the snow melts can reduce how much grows underneath before you start planting in spring/summer.
Raised beds and frequent plucking of undesired shoots.
Mostly the credit taking I'd gather.
Yes, that's basically what we did in Iraq. It led to a 20y occupation, thousands of troops killed, hundreds of thousands to millions of civilian deaths, and several new terrorist organizations. It will cost the US alone about 8,000,000,000,000. Basically the entirety of cultural progress and then some was lost in a few months.
Well some journals. Other journals only print if you know the editor and some journals actually follow through on peer review but reviewers are humans as well.
Yes, dog is allowed and yes washable couch cover.
Regardless of exact phrasing it shows how disconnected those people feel they are from politics. Biden dropping and Kamala coming in was months before election day there was plenty of reporting across networks about it.
On election day there were people googling whether Biden was running. The average reading level is 4-6th grade. Most people get their "news" from social media....
Nope, most researchers are still poor coders. Coding is a skill that takes time to learn if you even have someone who can check your shit (very rare). "Vibe coding"/using AI for research analytics is probably done and it is also probably shit.
Pay is still shit.
Lemm.ee shutdown there are communities of same name on .world, .ml and vlemmy.net
~467k per person. Not too shabby.
We're unregulated as shit but somehow 90% of the US can afford it.
Facts, I'm waiting for fall to get fresh cider donuts from the local farms and farmers market.
There's a couple local shops for more classic donuts (one has won statewide competitions) but their donuts are a bit overwhelming (v large) for any regularity and of course pricier. Worth it for myself occasionally, but too expensive to justify for coworkers.
Appointing CEOs is the fuck around part. The find out part comes later when the planes start crashing.
