My friend describes plastic surgery as grabbing the back of the face and stretching it really tight then using a baggie clip to hold it there
Like that one episode of the Simpsons where Homer lost a ton of weight and had to deal with the stretched skin
You don’t get to that level of wealth by getting haircuts from a stylist. He pinched every penny, got bowl cuts while his friends got specialty cuts, skipped the avocado toast and drank water instead of $5 coffees. Then his rich parents just gave him a small 10 million dollar loan and sent him to a prestigious school where only other rich kids went.
Honestly, respect to him for the shit tier haircut. At least he didn’t try to fake it like Elon.
The story I read, decades ago, said he goes to the same barber (shop?) that he went to as a young person.
I... Guess I can understand that, but if they're telling him that haircut works, I mean keep your clients happy, especially if they're clueless multi millionaires.
It's not even the hair for me, how are you a billions but can't splurge on a new face? MF has enough money he could literally have a custom-made new face
Honestly though if he wasn’t a billionaire he actually looks like he could be someone’s fun bumbling uncle or something. Really shows how much a crap personality can affect physical appearance.
You know who has a haircut like that? People who are surrounded by nothing but sycophants and yes-men who never give a true and unsolicited opinion like "Dude, you look like your mom whipped out a flowbee and a bowl?"
Yeah there is a chance, albeit small, that he paid another person to do that to his hair on purpose, which is crazy, but just the right kind of crazy for a billionaire.
There are probably no straight shooters around you for miles with this kind of money. Everyone tells him he looks great. I bet no one ever has said, "bro, you trippin'?" to this guy. Sometimes we need that.
maybe he thinks it makes him look younger. or maybe his crush once complimented him on it and he's hoping to run into her again. or maybe he has FUCK YOU money on a astronomic scale and he knows nobody will bust his balls to his face, so its a flex. hopefully there isn't a rat tail in back.
that's the face of a guy who surrounds himself with people he pays to tell him he doesn't look like a gone-horribly-wrong high school science experiment involving bumphead parrotfish and hydrofluoric acid
So are we only standing up against body shaming for ugly people? We're okay shitting on attractive people that might have had cosmetic work done? Are we a bunch of hypocrites that stand for nothing and only react when our own feelings are hurt?
I'm totally puzzled as to why people say she looks bad. She looks great to me. I can't identify any cosmetic surgery other than maybe a bit of lip filler, and that isn't even very much.
Some Lemmy users must have incredibly high standards or have supermodel girlfriends.
I mean, not to say she looks bad but she's certainly not my type. I can't tell whether it's makeup, surgery, smoothing filters or 'yes' but she's got a specific look that just doesn't do it for me.
I know, I know, everyone says "I like blah blah blah" and it doesn't matter but I can certainly see why people aren't digging it.
Like, she could totally be an amazing person and if she likes the way she looks, good for her, so my opinion literally doesn't matter. Whether my standards are too high or my self esteem too low, it doesn't matter at all.
It's harder to tell with all the filters that exist now...which makes people look like they had cosmetic surgery.
Anyone with education in facial anatomy can usually tell though. Parts of the face just look "off" with certain procedures.
For example cheek fillers/implants are very obvious to me. Brow lifts too. They dont line up with the curve of the upper eye socket naturally. Again, filters can mimic this effect, so with this young woman its indeterminate. Not that it really matters, it's her body, her choice.
But the point is some of us can tell, but it doesn't mean we should judgemental about it.
No, this is clearly laziness on his part. He has all the time and money needed to get a decent haircut, eat well, and do a little exercise, but simply doesn't. He has no real obligations to get in the way. His ugliness is nothing but compounding character flaws.
And after all, he's the one claiming his girlfriend was initially attracted by his physical beauty, not his money.
I realize in hindsight I should have worded my comment more specifically. I'm NOT talking about the dude. I'm talking about all the comments at the girl.
I will never not condone clowning on rich assholes. Nobody gets that kind of money without some form of exploitation, and those kinds of people are fair game.
My comment was regarding all the other cringe comments in the thread that are saying shit like she's not that hot anyway, or she looks fake, etc.
Not me, she paid money to make her face look like THAT, GROSS. No way I would want to date someone that was so modded up, I'm sure her personality doesn't reflect it AT ALL. Not saying single me wouldn't have open to a hookup but I could never be in a relationship with someone that vain.
When i was young and hang out in skateparks, there were always some guys with dissolving shoes, crappy boards and dirty clothing that would absolutely rip the skatepark. I always wondered if i'd ever get so good that i can skate around looking like "that"… because my raw skill would carry me.
I would probably do the same as a billionaire. There would be no reason for me to look "nice" if i didn't feel like it. People would pretend that i look great anyway.
