The book Scythe had a good portrayal of a scentient ai and its reasons for taking over the government. It's just backstory so i don't think it's spoilers, still gunna tag it.

The Thunderhead ai was created to help humans and make them content. It realized pretty quickly governments ran counter to that idea. So it got rid of all of them. Now it's a utopia. Actual utopia or as close as you can get most are content and live their lives enjoying them. The massive problems with the system are due to humans not the Thunderhead.
It kinda depends on the reason for cage time. If it's a punishment then the phone is weird. But if they are sleeping in it for the night then let them have their phone until bedtime.

Some people literally get tired after having caffeine. It's not just adhd it's a genetic thing that makes you tired. I have it and end up exhausted in bed without being able to sleep at all after drinking espresso.

For convenience sake let's say you have 2 identical lasers, one is blue and one is red. And you shine it on lead (so none of the light leaks through) until the lead doesn't heat up anymore. Would the temperature change at all between the different color lasers. It doesn't have to be red or blue, it could be microwave or x ray, just different colors is nessisary.
I know current learning models work a little like neurons but why not just make a sim that works exactly like how we understand neurons work
