I'm currently beating cyberpunk 2077 with a dildo called Sir John Phallusstiff. You can get a quake ability where you jump in the air and smash a melee weapon on the ground to do aoe damage, and it is really satisfying seeing people explode around you by slapping a dildo to the floor. Or use a finisher to just slap the shit out of someone with it.
Cerebral Bore from Turok: Rage Wars
The rebar crossbow from Half-Life 2 was pretty great. If you run right up next to a combine in an area with a low ceiling, you can crouch, aim up at his head, fire, and pin him to the ceiling like some kind of piñata.
Goodest of times.
The Dragon’s Tooth Sword from Deus Ex.
It was about as close to a lightsaber you could get without being a lightsaber and it blew all the other melee weapons out of the water. Plus the quest to get it is fun.
Shame that it sounds like whacking someone with a plastic bat when using it, but yeah its super cool looking
The Gravity Gun from Half Life 2 is a classic! A more recent one for me is the Teleporting Sniper Rifle from Turbo Overkill. Instead of shooting bullets it teleports you inside the enemy you have highlighted in your scopes causing the enemy to burst open. So it's a weapon and it helps travel across vast distances.
I'm absurdly fond of Lincoln's Repeater from Fallout 3.
Farsight or Laptop from Perfect Dark 64
There are a lot of good candidates, but I'm going to have to go with Your Eternal Reward from Team Fortress 2. I was a Spy main, and YER just elevates all the aspects of the class I enjoyed in a way nothing else did. It let you actually be sneaky in a way normal Spy gameplay usually isn't. It's the best execution of the class fantasy in the game, and getting into the flow with YER was some of the most satisfying experiences I've had in gaming.
My pick is Wraithverge from Hexen: Beyond Heretic, the ultimate weapon of the cleric.
It must be collected from three pieces scattered throughout the game, it looks badass and on activation summons ferocious ghosts that tear apart any enemy on their way. What not to love!
Shit, I gotta play that again
The one I remember most fondly is the Party Popper from Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. There was something very satisfying about shredding through enemies while dual wielding a gun that shoots confetti while having it fire at the speed of a machine gun.
Any weapon in the game Doronko Wanko
The game is completely free on Steam, it has a Pomeranian as the player character. And it is fun!
In this game, You can become a cute, innocent Pomeranian, make your master's home messy and dirty. "Will the master be angry with me?" Don't worry. Because you are a sweet doggie.
For the stupidest of reasons, the War Club from the Fallout New Vegas DLC that takes place in Zion Park ( or whatever the name is ).
My save that is almost at the end of the game is set up to where I can sometimes be at a death claw without taking more than a single hit when using the club because of how fast I swing and if I'm lucky enough to knock it down.
Melee is completely broken, I swear.
I liked Ratslayer, also from Fallout: New Vegas. A varmint rifle with high critical damage, low base damage, night optics. Neat area to find the thing and hunting it down had its own quest. Just felt satisfying.
The revolver. Old reliable, never gets old.
Concrete donkey from Worms.
The Cold War from Titanfall 2, feeling the trigger rev up as it charges then fires 4 blasts to instantly gib someone never gets old
I'm gonna go with Splatoon's Heavy Splatling. It's simple but very satisfying to play. If only it had a better kit in 3...
The Excalibat
Tlaloc from Destiny. Scout rifles weren't usually my thing, but Tlaloc just worked for me.
Robocop gun is pretty cool.
Peppermill Gatling Gun and the Horse Hammer from Alice Madness Returns. I had a blast!
It may have been a mod or cheat or something, but I remember playing Marathon on my Mac in the late 90’s and having a “Bob Launcher”.
It was basically a rocket launcher that fired NPC’s named “Bob”.
Super Sheep from Worms: Armageddon. Nothing more satisfying than skillfully landing that bad boy at the perfect angle to blow your opponent into the water. The blast radius was huge.
