Last time he was president we had arsonists fly in from red states to start fires during Red Flag days to “own the libs”. This isn’t conspiracy shit, the went to jail and everything. Republicans love terrorism.
He didn’t do shit because there were still people preventing him from implementing most of his crazy asshattery of an agenda and he distracted himself with TV, McD’s, Tweeting, Golf, and finding ways to make himself richer by ripping off the taxpayer.
Now the talibangelicals control all 3 branches of the government at the top level and some of the people that were able to hit the brakes last time are gone. We can only hope he’s as ineffective.
This is how Canadians have always behaved - selflessly, neighbourly, and supportive. Like the founding of the UN peacekeepers, like the RCMP teaching emerging democracies how to police, like the democratic observers reporting on the fairness of elections around the developing world.
Until L'il PP takes over. Then we'll just be another belligerent cuntry only looking out for whatever is percived as best for the Canadian guillotine class.
It's been said that the election of facists is driven by the failure and corruption of liberal democratic governments. But in this case it was partly caused by the appointment of the conservative Merrick Garland as AG and the emergence of overt propaganda networks. A felon skated through an Election cycle because of no enforcement of the law and a lack of public awareness of how guilty that felon was.
Uhh it is way worse than that. Private American citizens funded the Nazi party. After the Nazi rose to power and approached the US and other European countries about taking the Jews these same private citizens lobbied against allowing Jews refuge.
American citizens created the problem, refused Jews safe passage and the eventually joined the war killing a shit ton of civilians. That clearly makes us the good guys.
Seriously though, we might as well be called the United States of Genocide.

Stéphane Caron of Quebec’s forest fire protection agency — SOPFEU — says the two planes are sent to the U.S. each fall as part of an annual contract, the length of which was extended this year because of the emergency.
