  • Social security is the kind of thing that everyone should be glad to pay, and crosses their fingers they'll never need it.

  • That's for planned maintenances, a faulty memory module isn't something you want to keep using for long :)

  • If you vote based on the name of the party instead of what they offer, you reap what you sow.

  • I hope he'll eventually be liable for all the illegal orders he asked to willfully ignore one day.

  • I bought my Lifetime license more than 10 years ago.. doesn't mean they can't rug pull tho 😬

  • What if the code itself wasn't generated, but the developer was assisted by an AI and it found some errors that the dev had missed?

  • Complete the brunch with bacon and sausages.

They ruined the name of a perfectly good franchise just to attract the fanbase, nobody wins and everyone is angry.

  • By a different user. All it means is that both posts refers to the same outbound URL.

  • To answer your question, security is always a tradeoff with convenience.

One way you could leverage LUKS while having it auto-reboot unattended would be auto-unlock the volume by using the TPM module.

That way if someone attempts to extract the server's data by putting the drive in another system, the data will at least be encrypted at rest.

  • Personally I use those websites to find the best price, then call the hotel to book directly with them at that price. At least the hotel gets 100% of the money, I get a rebate and better & direct service and I get to fuck those websites out of their revenue share.
