God. I know it's the pettiest and least on-topic thing about these photos but... That god-damn weird-ass Trump centaur stance... At all times. Always. Centaur stance. I hope it's physically painful for him to stand like that. I hope it hurts every day that he has to get up and walk.
I don't want "Trump centaur stance" in my search history, please explain wtf you're talking about.
Look at any photograph of him. He does this weird leaning forward thing (which some people take to be indicative of a certain type of disorder) that happens to make him look like a centaur would if you cut off the front legs and human torso into a human shape. See here
I don't really give a crap about the ceremonial bullshit of this stupid wall, but it does look like a good wall to piss on.
All three look like the thought bubble is "have I been standing here long enough? better stick around for a few more minutes to be sure"
Anything for that AIPAC money.
This post is weird
The oddest part to me is knowing it was just a photo op, and they were like "get a picture of this real quick, it'll really fool 'em!"
Did he find a crevice to put his hand in?
The wall is too old for him to be interested in penetrating it.
Do you start to see it? Americans, please for the love of god, tell me you see it.
Unfortunately, those of us in the comments have likely seen it from the beginning
The rest refuse to see anything
Honest question, but isn't that kinda disrespectful tp Judaism? They are now Jewish, they don't believe on the Jewish beliefs, are not the hat religious?
Paying fealty to your bosses and larping as piety never goes out of style in US politics.
Can we PLEASE PLEASE stop treating judaism like it’s a special religion? I can mock christians all day, every day, why the different treatment for jews?
rule of thumb. it's ok to punch upwards and laterally in comedy,
given that Christianity is basically the default state religion in most developed countries, making fun of it is sort of punching upwards.
but unless you're part of the minority, it's likely you'll say some really stupid stuff if you make fun of said minority and it'll likely sound hateful and ignorant.
and to make it clear. those politicians are zionists, they are doing it to appease their AIPAC donor. they are not Jewish and do not support jews or their communities. look how the only loud antizionist politician in the US has the support of his Jewish constituents.
I don't mean it as it because Judaism is an special religion. If someone that is not catholic or Muslim goes in a performative confession or migration to the Mecca I would think is disrespectful too.
The real elephant in the room is Islam
Probably something about millions of them being tortured and killed in concentration camps that makes mocking the Jewish people kinda taboo.
For the most part, they've been pretty chill about the whole thing, frankly.... But those cuts run deeeep. I'm not Jewish, and even I'm disgusted by how they were rounded up and slaughtered like cattle for no reason other than being who they are.
The biggest issue that I think you're going to face is that most people can't differentiate between the Jewish faith and the Jewish people (who may or may not believe in the Jewish faith).
Generally, I don't think that making fun of the faith is any more or less taboo than poking fun at Christians or Catholics or whatever.... But making fun of the Jewish people, is generally a no fly zone.
Since people lack the intelligence, awareness, and shits to give, in order to see that being Jewish and believing in the Jewish faith are separate. So if you make fun of one, you're making fun of both.
Edit: let me back up for a second to say: I'm just trying to explain the behaviour. I am neither Jewish, nor a fan of the Jewish people, nor do I have any strong feelings against them per-se. This message is only discussing how others tend to see the Jewish people/faith/whatever. It does not, in whole or in part, express how I feel about anything at all, ever, for any reason.
I would say judaism should be seen as at least as special islam and christianity since it's an abrahamic religion and rarer than both. So if you're okay to say that neither of those are special, only then is it consistent to say that judaism is not special.
Because the Catholic ethnostate exists with the consent of Italy lmao
I'm Jewish, and I think it is.
not because they aren't Jewish, I welcome everyone to visit that place (just wait for apartheid to end before you go there), but because they are using the most religious place as a photo-op to appease genocidal lobbyists.
There are plenty of things politicians do to be diplomatic, this is just one of them.
yhea, I can bullshit. when was the last time a US politicians publicly went to an Eid event?
Perform a religious prayer of a religion they don't adhere to?
This is not normal whatsoever.
Yeah this seems like one of the least weird things these professional weirdos have done…
You don't see those people prsy in a mosque is saudi arabia or sny other arab country
I would prefer politicians to do duels with mincers, not this weird stuff.
AI moaners and not being able to recognize AI, name a more iconic duo.

Is it?
Song and dance for the money
If they conflate Judaism and Zionism, I don't see why our condemnation of that conflation should follow the same path.
So no, it's not weird. I have no problem with anyone paying respect to the Jewish religion.
Ps. Free Palestine.
Sure but this is not paying respect, it's performing a prayer in a religion they don't adhere to.
Why is Trump and Vance wearing a yamaka?
Respect for religious beliefs. That is the Western Wall, a remnant of the 2nd holy temple in Jerusalem. Mind you, it’s all a bunch of fairy tale bullshit, like every religion.
Mike Johnson is wearing one too but it's less visible.
It's required attire for touching the western wall.
Isn't the weird part, "and the next two in line of succession?"
Call it the chain of command, then. If the president dies, the VP gets it, if the VP does, the Speaker gets it
It’s not even where the temple was located. They’re worshipping an ancient Roman garrison.
Remember when we did things right?
Now that was a pope worth killing
Thank you for posting this.
And you're right: it is extremely weird.
Not really, thousands of people a day do the same thing at the same wall, not all are Jewish
You only think it's weird because it's being done by a fascist pedophile
Excuse me, but what is happening here?
I believe that's a holy wall to the Jews in Israel, that many Jews come to pray at. If I remember right, it's supposedly the last remaining price of the temple of Solomon. Some evangelical Christians believe that the apocalypse cannot come until the temple is rebuilt, re-establishing gods throne on earth. An issue is that I think rebuilding it would require tearing down the dome of the rock. So clearly a provocative move. Someone can correct anything that I said which was wrong.
The wall is believed to have been built by Herod the Great, not Solomon. The original Temple Mount from the Solomon era was more natural, smaller, and irregularly shaped. Herod filled it in, creating a large rectangular base that still exists, having survived the destruction of the Romans in 70 CE.
The entire Western Wall is 1,600 feet long, but only a small part of it is used for Jewish prayer. That small part came to be used because it faces the Jewish quarter in the old city, and that made it accessible to Jews.
From 1500s to 1839, the Ottomon empire absolutely prohibited non Muslims from entering onto the top of the rectangular base (now called the "Temple Mount").
After that time, and continuing to today, Jews are forbidden by the Chief Rabbinate to walk on the Temple Mount, lest they accidentally tread on the site of the holy of holies. Under Jewish custom, the location of the Solomon and Herod temple sites has been forgotten within Temple Mount area. But God's prohibition on entering that location is still in effect.
There is an interesting rock within the Dome of the Rock. Old Muslim writing says that rock was the Solomonic and Herodic holy of holies, and even that it was the site where Abraham bound Isaac. Judaism is more split on whether that rock is the holy of holies, whether it was a sacrificial altar in the temple period, or whether it has no significance whatsoever.
If that wall was really holy those motherfuckers would have burst into flames as soon as they touched it.
Not just Jews, it's a destination for many members of the Abrahamic faiths
Place your palm in the centaur of the stone.
The first two don't actually believe it. The third one sure does, though.
"Goddamn I love this fucking wall!!"
