I know no one cares but on the off chance that someone does, the picture is from this song.
It's a song made basically entirely of Japanese onomatopoeias. It's brought me so much joy I'd love if it makes one other person feel that way.
What a great tune to start my day to. Thanks for sharing!
Get to da choppa! (Reach the helicopter)
squeaky new airforce (clone 5 aircraft)
Shout out to Split Fiction for getting the "Unironically making a 'The cake is a lie' reference in the year of the Lord 2025" award
I think its charming
Me too!
Yes, you're also charming.
Yeah, though I don't really like the ones that can be missed by playing the game too well, like the "die to boss x times".
Seeing achievements that actually are hard to achieve and aren't grindy brings me joy
Yeah, I wish they were only that, instead of "collect all 1000 mcguffins" or "defeat a boss with 1 life left."
I like that the "open game" archivments are mostly at like 70%
I just haven't got around ooh a sale!
It gives a point of reference for the others. Though it should probably just be the base for calculating the other percentages.
I swear some games just load them up at the start so it looks like you were playing for longer when others see you have "SO MANY ACHIEVABLES"
Speaking from experience: in many cases, they’re cliche because project managers, producers, and execs insist on writing achievement names & descriptions instead of letting the writer(s) do it.
It’s happened on almost every game I’ve worked on.
They get a kick out of having a tangible contribution to the finished product, and in most cases seem to believe they’re actually being funny and original. It’s easier to just let them have it.
You've just made me sadder than you can imagine
I can't wait for all these
ideas guys
to use more AI to make stuff...It's kinda sad.
