What are the major hazards involved in stone masonry? How did you get involved in the field?
Huh, idk how I didn't make the connection. I forget the name of it but definitely not tokyo ghoul
This looks amazing. Might have to try making it myself
I actually read a manhwa once where coffee was the only human food/beverage vampires could enjoy
I understood it as making fun of that mentality
What is now happening to Marx’s theory has, in the course of history, happened repeatedly to the theories of revolutionary thinkers and leaders of oppressed classes fighting for emancipation. During the lifetime of great revolutionaries, the oppressing classes constantly hounded them, received their theories with the most savage malice, the most furious hatred and the most unscrupulous campaigns of lies and slander. After their death, attempts are made to convert them into harmless icons, to canonize them, so to say, and to hallow their names to a certain extent for the “consolation” of the oppressed classes and with the object of duping the latter, while at the same time robbing the revolutionary theory of its substance, blunting its revolutionary edge and vulgarizing it. Today, the bourgeoisie and the opportunists within the labor movement concur in this doctoring of Marxism. They omit, obscure, or distort the revolutionary side of this theory, its revolutionary soul. They push to the foreground and extol what is or seems acceptable to the bourgeoisie. All the social-chauvinists are now “Marxists” (don’t laugh!). And more and more frequently German bourgeois scholars, only yesterday specialists in the annihilation of Marxism, are speaking of the “national-German” Marx, who, they claim, educated the labor unions which are so splendidly organized for the purpose of waging a predatory war!
While the State exists, there can be no freedom. When there is freedom there will be no State.
In capitalist society, providing it develops under the most favorable conditions, we have a more or less complete democracy in the democratic republic. But this democracy is always hemmed in by the narrow limits set by capitalist exploitation and consequently always remains, in effect, a democracy for the minority, only for the propertied classes, only for the rich. Freedom in capitalist society always remains about the same as it was in the ancient Greek republics: freedom for the slaveowners. Owing to the conditions of capitalist exploitation, the modern wage slaves are so crushed by want and poverty that “they cannot be bothered with democracy,” “cannot be bothered with politics”; in the ordinary, peaceful course of events, the majority of the population is debarred from participation in public and political life.
Choice quotes from The State and Revolution
If only we didn't have to permanently increase production until the end of time. Maybe then a shrinking labor, and consumption base wouldn't a big deal. Its too bad thats not possible whatsoever right?
Has he tried not being villainous?
In the epic of Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh's last hope of achieving immortality, a special flower, is stolen from him by a snake.
Fair, it made me laugh so I posted. Not exactly a meme though
Fun fact, mesopotamian beer was drank through a straw because they did not filter it. They'd simply let the solids fall to the bottom and sip off the liquid

I think pickled onions count and should be here so I would say that but I also enjoy capers in the right setting.
This last election is the first time I puked from alcohol consumption
The Sumerians had fine metallurgy! Don't let one guy set their reputation. One admittedly very silly guy but nevertheless
I listen to music entirely based on what I already know and like, what I randomly stumble across, and what others recommend to me. Sometimes if I am at a bar and hear a song I like, I'll ask the bartender what it is. This sort of thing. I don't typically go searching and all the times I've tried it hasn't gone great.
Anyway I have recommendations. Here are some bands that have been recommended to me and stuck with me for atleast a year:
- Reagan Youth
- Motorama (>5 years ago)
- Dead Kennedys
- Kino
- Kneecap
- Rage against the Machine (>5 years ago)
Yeah but alliances like NATO and the UN weren't built to prevent genocide. They were built to protect certain power structures and to keep certain nations in control. Stopping genocide was sometimes useful in accomplishing this but nothing more. They never actually cared about people and never will.
My room is basically empty except for my bed, computer/desk, birdcage, and fan. It even has grey walls lol. This is mostly because my preferred horde is old books and they are pretty expensive so my collection is small. I also like maps, historical trinkets/artifacts, and indegenous art but I am unemployed lol.
I don't dislike what I currently have but I do wish I had unorganized stacks of books everywhere (if only my bird would not poop on them)
