Sleeping tonight, I'd apparently get the daybed and he'd sleep on the floor in the office. As for what to do with it, he says a boulder of that size would not be supported in our upstairs landing to block the door, and we'd have to hire an engineer to help remove it and repair everything.

That's not bad at all. Fastest I ever ran on a treadmill flat out was about 6 min. I'm not a runner, that was just my gym days. Now it's probably 12-15 min.
