I was hired by a workplace that had a popup with every meeting listing the billing rate for everyone there, multiplied by the duration of the meeting. It's an awesome system!
"This meeting with [7] people costs [€ 1827,-] Are you sure?"
They also had it on their printer, which was pretty hilarious by comparison
I feel hypocritical cause my dog pretty much slept on my chest while the work got done. If your dog is doing more than that then yea leave that shit at home.
That being said my lil Frank Zappa was better than most coworkers.
Amazon allows and even encourages dogs. They aren’t allowed in meeting rooms or other shared spaces like the kitchen or cafe. I bring my girl in 4 days a week. She stays tethered to my desk, but maybe I’ll get a dog gate for my whole aisle if everyone is fine with it since everyone on my team likes her.
Edit: cool, so, lemmy is anti dog. I live in a super dog friendly city, so it makes sense for me. It may not make sense for y’all. No worries. :)
Every time I see this statement, my first reaction is to feel solidarity, "yeah!" Then I think about all those emails I don't read and never respond to... 😅
Yeah I stopped checking my work emails entirely. At first I tried setting up filters so I could know which ones to ignore them I realized the answer was "literally all of them" so I don't bother anymore
