Elon Musk’s former employees are trying to use White House credentials to access General Services Administration tech, giving them the potential to remote into laptops, read emails, and more, sources say.
Elon Musk’s minions—from trusted sidekicks to random college students and former Musk company interns—have taken over the General Services Administration, a critical government agency that manages federal offices and technology. Already, the team is attempting to use White House security credentials to gain unusual access to GSA tech, deploying a suite of new AI software, and recreating the office in X’s image, according to leaked documents obtained by WIRED.
Sadly true. Rule of Law, Checks & Balances, etc. They're all completely meaningless now. There's not even a veiled notion of adherence. The Supreme Court can and will twist words to justify anything as they wipe their asses with the Constitution.
On the one hand, Trump ordered the entire Federal government to give him all this access. On the other hand, most of this shit is massively illegal but anyone who says so is getting fired within 24 hours
I wonder how many times this question will be asked before Americans realize it's not relevant. The theoretical legality of it doesn't matter. There's no one stop it so it's happening. His supporters will support it under the guise of smashing the deep state. That's all there is to it.
If America has any hope of recovering from this domestic threat actor infiltrating the government, an injunction needs to be filed ASAP and Musk and cronies' offices raided immediately.
I feel you and I agree, but raided by whom? the doj is compromised along.with virtually every other enforcement agency.
trying to not be defeatist, but our last peaceful hope likely resides in a combination of public protests, insider leaks, non/malicious-compliance and A DIFFERENTIATED, PROGRESSIVE, WORKER/MIDDLE-CLASS PLATFORM FOR 2026 (if we get that far). other than that, there will probably be bloodshed.
someone give me a more optimistic and realistic alternative... please?
That is a very big problem... GSA is where purchases for equipment go through IIRC. If y'all that government contract price gouging was bad before (thousand dollar toilet seats)...
