According to the theory of quantum immortality, everyone gets their own main-character timeline.

- Also, in most timelines you’re dead or never existed.
  
  That's the best part, you have way more timelines where you aren't the MC so there's basically a 0% chance you're in one now.

  Aww man, that means you're basically guaranteed to be killed by the villain, giving the hero an impetus to fight.
  
  At least you'll give them a final nugget of wisdom with your last breath that will help the hero in a moment of crisis.
