And then if Congress refuses to nominate your justices then you kill the Congress members that vote against you.

To sum up: The GOP and its SCOTUS are all actively trying to overthrow democracy in the wake of an actual coup attempt, and a party called Democrats are now legally permitted to have them shot (and absolutely will not do that). Further, the current president is being rubbished by a corporate press so hungry for ad revenue that they prefer bad presidents.

Democrats act all high-mined in their rejection of political violence and distaste for guns, but in opposing gun ownership they've allowed their opposition that's just fine with political violence to own all the guns.

Partially, but that was before the US government controlled the most powerful military in the world. The idea that whatever weapons civilians could get their hands on would be able to overpower the military is laughable.

  The US Army is very strong against other conventional armies, but has proven to be awful at unconventional warfare.
  The greatest strength of the US Army is its arsenal of bombs and the powerful deterrent of the atom bomb. If the US army bombs US territory, then it is bombing itself. A general strike is unnecessary if the factory is gone. At that point the Civil War will become a war of attrition, and autonomous insurgent cells have an inherent advantage in those.
  I expect at least a decent number of soldiers to mutiny or desert.

Jokes aside, it's really quite upsetting to see an old man mentally decline so quickly and publicly. I just hope that those around him will usher him away from the spotlight in a dignified manner if it gets bad enough.

Mental decline and/or Alzheimer's/dementia are fucking cruel. It's awful to watch a loved one go like that and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Agreed, Trump wouldn't even know what to do with SEAL team 6 if he saw what they did right in front of him in large crayon but the only goal is killing or stopping anything that could make one thing work for the majority of people.
