Multi-billion dollar companies are far more enlightened now. Instead of instantly draining their customers and disposing of them, they now drain their customers over the course of a lifetime through subscriptions.
Yes it's wild. I meant wrt fanboyism, John Deere at this point is defacto a monopoly and their newer products are actually less coveted then earlier ones because of the rampant anti-consumer practices.
Turns out multi-billion dollar company was primarily just involved in hoarding, and then selectively releasing, the necessary capital for the things the people under it make.
As much as people agree with it, they won't do a single damn thing to change their choices. I've been in IT for about a decade and absolutely nobody has changed no matter how much they hate what these terrible companies have done.
