I'unno, I would've assumed there'd be some discussion on it. I only come to 196 every so often and don't otherwise visit Lemmy so I'd find it hard to do a vibe check.
Anyway, thanks for the slightly more insightful response, over "oh, .world, lmao"
That doesn't sound great, might you have some further reading on that?
suck googles dick! For artists!
I'm not telling you to do that; I'm saying your initial statement is wrong.
I wouldn't have been on Lemmy if it wasn't for moving away from big tech.
But now it seems people take issue with that as well because I went with the basic bitch option when signing up, or did something horrific happen with .world whilst I was keeping away from social media in general?
Very cool. I love discrimination.
I did want to say one more thing, though, but feel free to ignore.
If you'd said something like "a one time donation supports a creator more than years of Premium ever would", I would not have argued. But what you are saying is plainly false.
I'd expect most resent the shitty split
That does not prove your point of them not getting any support, though.
I suppose that is so; but if you'd ask them whether they'd also rather have the ad revenue, I would assume most of them would say yes.
Ah, yes. Make fun of me for signing up with some domain when I was still clueless about Lemmy. Thanks. Really appreciate the generalisation.
YouTube has a revenue split with it's creators? Ads (and therefore Premium) are often a good part of a creator's income?
It may not support them by a lot, but it supports them infinitely more than blocking all ads.
There's a Premium Lite subscription which includes ads on certain kinds of videos (among which music, I believe)
Hah. "Association pool" makes a lot of sense.
I still have to make an L shape with my index and thumb, at the very least mentally, to remember which side is left x.x
To my knowledge I don't really struggle with any such words in conflating their meanings, though in the last few years I've developed the strange habit of occasionally typing out a phonetically similar word when I mean to write something else. Or I'll swap an A for an E ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also whether to write British English with an S or Z. I'll interchange those at random.
Understandable.
Affect and effect must also be a fun one in that case. Or assure, ensure, insure.
English do be a bit of a mess sometimes.
Ah, I assumed you had meant to type"depraved" and thought to do a funny, but I guess that also works.
It's an unlockable skill in DL2.
Don't remember if it was in the original game.
Dropkicking zombies off rooftops is my favourite activity in Dying Light
2 didn't hit the same for me, but was still decent fun
That's not what he said??
They believe in the bible/Christianity insofar that it affirms their preconceived notions.
I am still holding onto my S22 for a while yet, but I am looking for something non-Samsung as my next device (probably Fairphone).
Whilst I think I can do without most of Samsung's features, I do really like the gallery app and what it offers. Background OCR so I can search for text in an image, and manual as well as automatic tags. The built-in editor is also nice, but there are alternatives for that. The main reason I like using manual tags and OCR is for quickly sharing memes I've saved over the years.
I have resigned myself to losing the tags I've already created, as it doesn't seem those can be exported. But I have yet to find a gallery app in which I can slowly start rebuilding my set.
Here's some of what I've come across:
- Google's gallery is not an option for me. I want to move away from big tech.
- Aves supports tags, but is very laggy to use and has no automatic OCR/tags.
- PhotoPrism doesn't support OCR.
- Ente doesn't do OCR or manual tags.
- "Gallery" looks promising, but does not yet have the feature set I'm looking for.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
