Dall-E Prompt: A young woman secretly celebrates winter solctice festivities together with small forest animals: a squirrel, a marmot and a rabbit are sitting around a small spruce tree that is decorated with natural materials found in the woods: nuts, pears, mushrooms. It is a snowy fullmoon winter night, stars twinkle in the sky and snow is on the mossy ground. The image style is acrylic painting.
When people would decorate their dwellings with evergreens like holly, ivy, pine branches and mistletoe....and how the traditions of old have been absorbed into 'modern' day Christmas
Prompt-
3 pagan winter creatures, one made out of mistletoe, another made out of holly and ivy, and another made out of pine branches and pine needles, sat around a burning yule log, photo realistic style, ratio 16.9
(I did ask for 3 creatures and ended up with an extra one)
Hot spiced drink of preference in front of warm fire, one of my favorites in the cold season [Midjourney]
steaming hot spiced lemon tea on wood table in front of lit fireplace, in the style of luminous reflections, uhd image, rtx on, lively tavern scenes. warm, cheerful, comfortable, serene, toasty --s 750
Someone appreciates lighting in their prompts. I'm a big fan of adding 'subsurface scattering', 'x colour highlights'/midtones/shadows, for precise lighting control, brown and tan are wonderful lighting colours.
Santa Clause - The Master Ninja. You better watch out...
Prompt: "A ninja dressed in red with a big white beard sneaking out of a fireplace with a large sack at night. He is carrying a katana. There is a christmas tree in the room. A small child looks afraid and is peaking out from behind the tree. Photorealistic detailed textures"
Prompt: photograph of happy little kids holding sparklers at night during new year's eve, in a suburb with fireworks exploding in the background, panoramic view, 18mm, Disposable Camera --ar 4:3 --s 75
A memory of when I was little, we'd go out and light sparklers together before the "real" fireworks were set off at midnight. It felt so special to be out in the dark and getting to hold those sparklers.
I was quite surprised with how well it came out myself! Though I had to retry a few times to get the sparkler in their hand :)
Choosing a camera type in Midjourney can really make a difference if you want to go for realistic photos.
Here's a few of my runner-ups (behind a spoiler to keep the thread a bit clean):
The prompt was
"Xmas dinner, Norman Rockwell painting style. The dinner is enjoyed by sentient Xmas ornaments, they are eating presents." And on the first try I got this happy accident:
DALLE-3 Prompt:
can you make an illustration of jesus as a baby dressed up as santa claus. He's handing out gifts to a colony of meerkats. the illustration is cartoonish, colorful, and festive
As a latino I wanted to see how DALLE combined "el niño Dios" and Santa :P
Bing Dall-E. Prompt: "Santa Claus has a manic smile as he helps the Supreme Leader of North Korea count their bitcoin." Bing blacklists the words "Jim Jong Un" but this synonym seems to work.
Generated this on Artbreeder back in late October/early November. If that's too old to use, then I'll withdraw it. Source image was a random red and green picture with skulls and test tubes that I found on the site. I was rolling a lot of goth ladies at the time so I put some Christmas themed words into the prompt I'd been using in order to see what would happen. Prompt is below, and link will be provided if requested.
"Kentaro Miura, stanley artgerm, Yusuke Murata. christmas elf goth girl, albino, full body. epic, cinematic, intricate lace, stunning, mystical, gothic, goth, occult, mystic, hd, hq, cinematic, highly detailed digital art, very realistic, beautiful, fantasy, surreal, dream, many small details, concept art, illustration"
