Bistromathics is the most powerful computational force known to parascience. A major step up from the Infinite Improbability Drive, Bistromathics is a way of understanding the behavior of numbers. Just as Einstein observed that time was not an absolute, but depended on the observer's movement through space, so it was realised that numbers are not absolute, but depend on the observer's movement in restaurants.
In "Bill, The Galactic Hero" they use the 'Bloater Drive.' Expands the molecules of the ship [and everyone aboard] until one molecule reaches the destination. Then the ship snaps back like rubber band.
I love how Event Horizon is just about Warhammer 40K cannon.
The Warp: So easy to navigate, you don't even need eyes to see!
It's a Warhammer prequel
Futurama - move the universe and keep the ship still But my favorite is the Black Ocean - A wizard did it.
Also Futurama - we increased the speed of light to be able to go faster.
TBF big E was trying to move humanity as a whole into the webway, before Magnus ripped a hole in that and allowed demons in. Apparently if he had successfully removed humanity's presence from the warp completely, that universe would have been great for the humans.
Admittedly everyone but the humans would have been eventually eaten by Tyranids, but that's what ya get for being a dirty chaos worshiper!
Hiding from chaos in the webway worked out great for Eldars, didn't change their society whatsoever 🙃
They didn't sever their connection to the warp. Big E was going to sever humanity's connection to the warp to fix that for the humans.
Then there's Discovery with its space mushrooms
And I fucking love them
Borderlands: Use a captive blackhole to implode all space between you and your destination.
What’s the bottom one?
Warhammer 40K.
The joker version of the carnival that is sci-fi.
TARDIS?
"The laws of time are mine, and they will obey me!"
Laws? Just a lot of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.
Spacetime innit? Don't the Time Lords essentially have the ability to rewrite/ ignore the laws of space as well as time?
Unless the telephone boot breaks down again.
What, no leviathans? No starburst?
We take drugs that let us fold space and time.
"Where is the device that speeds or slows the passage of time?"
"Under the seat" holds up bong
Guild navigators be like "we fold up reality and fly through space heaven."
