There's a time when tit-for-tat is valid and necessary (e.g., gerrymandering blue states to keep up with red state shenanigans). This is not one of those times.

Completely disagree, the last thing we need is more manufacturing of consent by the dems.
They need to be hammering on constitutional norms and consistently pointing out how Trump sharts all over them daily.
Also, Obama gave us Trump and Biden. Just no.

From what I've seen, a lot of people don't care about Trump's destruction of the constitution anymore. They're tired, and their attention span is all used up - his strategy of overwhelming us with a constant barrage of bad publicity worked. Just about every democratic voter over 40 I know has just put their head down and convinced themselves that we'll fix everything in 2028. Not that I think Obama merch would get their attention, either. I'm not sure what, but we need a more rousing strategy than yet another reminder that Trump is terrible.

I gotta say, there are a handful of Dems legit out on the front lines struggling against the violence of this expansive police state. They need help. They need big crowds of angry people ready to back them up in these street brawls with masked goons. If you can put together a crowd of a few hundred people to show up in front of an ICE facility and shut it down, you can put whatever fucking hats you want on them. I don't think it matters, but if you believe merch is what Americans need to get motivated more power to you.
But the idea that Hakeem Jeffries just needs a funny hat for his next stare-down with Trump? :-/

The only reason this is a good idea is because it MIGHT piss Trump off enough to make him want to hold another election to prove he could beat the cool black guy in a popularity contest. But based on the state of the motherfucker's visibly declining health there's an exceedingly slim chance he's even alive by then. Now would Obama wipe the floor with JD Vance in a fair election? Not a doubt in my mind he's the most charismatic politician of my lifetime and Vance is unlikeable and creepy. But those election will not be free and fair, part of the reason they are moving as fast as they are now is because they know they need to consolidate as much as possible before Trump croaks and the gravy train dries up.

The DNC is fucked because they've learned absolutely nothing since 2016. They've pushed progressives to the center or out of the way to the extent that they cannot create an appealing candidate. They are still banking on "They're Not Trump" being a winning strategy and they're hoping they can do bupkis for the struggling masses and get away with it.
Obama 2028 is a sad message. It says "Remember when people liked us? Can we just go back to that, please? No change on my end, just uh like us again, please?"

No, this was what the left was trying to explain to you over 6 years ago. We've been trying to warn you the whole way. And no, it doesn't feel good being right but too early for liberals to realize it.
