How come nobody does anything about North Korea?
  • Everyone calls the guardian propaganda, outside of those advocating for very narrow pro-imperialist neoliberalism. So yeah, those opposing neoliberalism from both the left and right will obviously point out their agenda and inaccurate reporting.

They also openly coordinate with western intelligence agencies.

  • How come nobody does anything about North Korea?
  • No one does anything, because it’s not actually that bad. Most of the quality of life issues are due to western imposed (illegal) sanctions, and not the authoritarian leadership.

You’re sensing the cognitive dissonance between western propaganda vs western actions. Keep going in that direction. You’re close to getting it. Most of what you’ve been told about North Korea is made up bullshit.

  • Japan using generative AI less than other countries
  • Japan has always been behind most of the world in software advancements. They built their reputation on hardware, but even there they’re significantly lagging.

It was weird watching the divergent development of cell phones in Japan vs the US. The US cell phone industry went all in on software advancements. Japan had phones with all of these weird attachable hardware modules. I remember Japanese cell phones looking like an old gameboy with every attachment accessory on it.

  • Protester appears to fire gun at ICE agents near Camarillo
  • This is actually a very appropriate response to illegal behavior from law enforcement. We need more of it, with larger groups.

When the police are involved in the crime, you’ve no other reasonable choice.

  • How can you oppose tariffs, while supporting a hardline against China on Taiwan?

To be clear, the current tariff execution is reckless and poorly planned. But I hear a lot of total tariff opposition from the same people who demand we continue to escalate with China over control of Taiwan, up to a potential hot war.

So what’s the plan? Western economies were brought to their knees during just a momentary interruption in shipping during the pandemic. How do you wage a war with a country that does all of your manufacturing? China could defeat most western countries without firing a single shot, just by cutting off their access to Chinese exports.

If you don’t support tariffs to bring back manufacturing jobs domestically, how do you think we could make it through a war with our manufacturing partners? I can’t reconcile the two ideas, and I don’t understand how some of y’all are.
