There is straight up no time to get the wheels properly in time to prevent significant effects. And once the feedback loops kick in there’s almost no way to stop the cascading

This ludicrous reality would be slightly more tolerable if people would stop acting like this is business as usual

I 100% agree with the overall point that there are very bad outcomes to getting this wrong, but my point is that we are out of time. Even if we manage to pull off a general strike with mural aid and civil disobedience we could eventually all have to come together on a direction or course of action going forward and I dont see that happening and even in the best of circumstances I think the country balkanizes/otherwise dissolves after a series of geographically and ideologically independent insurgencies rise up from the chaos that's about to happen.

I think its too late to hope on that point, maybe if they all fall to infighting between the tech bro, christian nationalist, and groyper factions they'll tear themselves apart but he would have to be removed very soon for the country to be salvaged into anything resembling the one we knew growing up

The only reason this is a good idea is because it MIGHT piss Trump off enough to make him want to hold another election to prove he could beat the cool black guy in a popularity contest. But based on the state of the motherfucker's visibly declining health there's an exceedingly slim chance he's even alive by then. Now would Obama wipe the floor with JD Vance in a fair election? Not a doubt in my mind he's the most charismatic politician of my lifetime and Vance is unlikeable and creepy. But those election will not be free and fair, part of the reason they are moving as fast as they are now is because they know they need to consolidate as much as possible before Trump croaks and the gravy train dries up.
