What's stopping him?
  • If he were to do that he’d have to do it like this to save the democracy, do the damn thing maybe add his electoral opponent and a few others in, expand and fill the court, have them reverse the decision, then abdicate, turn himself in, and die a criminal hero

  • Supreme Court ruling shields presidents on official acts
  • I came to realize this sometime around April of 22, I kinda had a complete mental breakdown, as in I quit my job and tried something crazy career wise because it gave me a feeling of control over my life again. I landed on my feet but that’s not the point. The point is that we are now locked into an ever repeating cycle of stopping the fascists. Which means it will be decades, until after all the ancient occupiers of power have passed. But by the time that comes I don’t even know what the world will look like, we need a general stirke

  • What's stopping him?
  • You’re thinking too small, he could fucking have Alito and Thomas thrown in jail or hanged if he were so inclined, I’m not saying he should have them hanged, but he totally could based on this ruling

  • Fuck up a book for me please
  • The moment that statement became public is the moment everyone invested with his bullshit should have pulled out. It’s so profoundly stupid, ignorant, and arrogant that everything else he ever said should have been tainted by it

  • Not even one mainstream scientist?
  • They think scientific advancements are always made by a single person and occur in a vacuum. They learn that Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone and equate that to Darwin’s Theory of Evolution, but the way they see it Bells science is self evident because well phones work so his science must be right. With more abstract discoveries that don’t produce an object in the physical world they believe they can deny all day.

    It’s really fucking stupid

  • Yup that's how I got depressed
  • 100%. A full on IT Workers Union would immediately become one of the most powerful weapons in fighting the oppression of the capitalist class. An IT strike could be effective enough that a general strike wouldn’t be necessary
