The first time I had ever heard about labubus was the last episode of South Park. I thought they were just some dumb thing Matt and Trey came up with to use as a vehicle to talk about the tariffs, then I learned they were actually real.

Labubus are still a thing? I thought that wave of idiocity had passed already?
Not just yet. Now that the knowledge of Labubus is mainstream they will go out of fashion soon. But there will be one last wave while normies pretend to be fashionable.
Honestly thought South Park made them up, I had never heard of them before that. It's beanie babies all over again.
I am a good benchmark for this stuff. If I know what Labubu is because I had to find it on Urban Dictionary then it has run its course.
