- They're getting paid. In order for Trump to actually have power over them, they have to be on federal orders which don't get issued without funding attached. I guarantee none of them would be there for free, because remember that guard soldiers are civilians with regular jobs most of the time. Ain't nobody taking an unpaid vacation to stand around and do nothing for photo ops.

This story sparks joy. Every time Vance gets booed an angel gets its wings.

- Stewart recently did a podcast where he and his guests talk revolutions. He has a historian and the writer of Andor on for this discussion. Highly relevant and interesting. The random chaos of aligned planets, so to speak, that prefaced the storming of the Bastille was surprising.
