Agreed, mostly. Like Malenia, once I learned, I really liked as a fight... except for, y'know... Waterfowl... the one thing that's not learnable and ruins the entire rest of the fight. Consort was similar, I ended up learning Phase 1 hitless, just from the sheer number of repeated tries, and kinda sorta appreciate it now. But Phase 2 is actual dogshit.
You know what works stupidly well? Get the biggest shield in the game, and a poke weapon.
You can poke through Malenia's self-heal. It takes a little longer than dodging, but it's far safer.
Consort Radahn with a big shield is a joke. Took 4 minutes, two tries. The first try failed because I didn't see where he was coming from when he did his nuclear sky bomb attack.
Very rarely me. If I start out pissed off, I finish pissed off. I’m committed to my feelings, and if you can’t accept that, then THERES THE FUCKING DOOR, BARBARA!! SIX YEARS FOR NOTHING
I get that, brother. At some point, I'm just glad it's over and think it was as bad as initially thought.
For example, I can't imagine how much trouble Isshin was giving me on my first playthrough. Now I can usually clear the fight in a couple of tries without really thinking too much about it. But it was probably annoyingly difficult the first time around
I guess it comes down to how apparent the handholds on the rock wall are. If I can’t see the grips after two tries, it’s garbage. If I can, it doesn’t matter whether it will take me one minute or 20 hours. “If it bleeds, I can kill it” as the meme goes.
I can’t get upset at the rock wall for being a rock wall. I’m definitely at risk of getting pissed off at the rock wall for poorly communicating and obfuscating information, though.
