It was early covid and I had to go to the DMV. I live in Tennessee. I was wearing a mask because I was a caregiver to a couple of very compromised people.
Some lady (in line with me, and at less than 6 feet) starts going off loudly about masks and how they're so harmful and you don't get enough oxygen and only stupid sheep wear them anyway. So I took it off and said, "Oh, man, such a relief to hear that. I got exposed at work but they're just so uncomfortable! I'm really glad they're more dangerous to wear than not to wear."
She turned white, stood there for maybe a minute, then left the building. I put the mask back on. Didn't pop positive for the first time for two more years but I sure hope that lady reconsidered some things.
