I wonder if the American voters realize just how surreal of a situation they cast their country in. Anybody who believes the USA looks like anything other than a weird bad trip is out of his goddamn mind.
We don't. The subtle to obvious propaganda in public and social media gets us tangled with fighting each other rather than working together because the owners of the media, as well as the ads, want more money.
He can't legally own a gun and has to provide a DNA sample. Still barely anything, but I would imagine the first thing is annoying and the second - given that he's a rapist - is terrifying him a little. I wonder how many cold cases there are with his DNA in the evidence locker.
I find I sometimes struggle with...hmm I'm lacking the word here. I feel like there's this mental whiplash when I read about stuff like this.
As a little kid I was taught in school that we have laws to keep society orderly for everyone. I was taught about morals and between right and wrong. Who "good" and "bad" people were.
I always thought the government was "good". And then I see stuff like this and my brain short circuits.
I apologize for making you feel that way, but, in my opinion, knowledge is power. They have to do something if thousands of citizens protest. Otherwise, who knows how far they're willing to go. Oh wait, it's Project 2025
Oh you're absolutely right. I would rather know about it than pretend everything is sunshine and rainbows. I just find it jarring that so much of the morals and rules I grew up on are not how things actually are lol
