Latest Firefox and Obtainium?
Latest Firefox and Obtainium?
The Firefox for Android GitHub releases aren't being updated anymore, and is versions behind the Play Store now.
FDroid Fennec isn't fully the same app, and FDroid has it's own set of delays.
Is there a location where the latest version can be pulled/tracked with Obtainium?
I'm afraid I don't have any real solution, since I get Firefox from the play store, but its my secondary browser; I get Mull from Obtainium (kinda like a Librewolf for android), you might look into that? I know this is kind of not what you wanted to hear though and im sorry

I use FFUpdater, but I've been planning to switch to obtainium, so I'm definitely following this.

nightly: https://download.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/fenix/nightly/
8 0 ReplyIs there a non-nightly version? I only use nightly on my tablet for the new "desktop tabs" feature. And how would I use this in Obtainium?

Is the latest release. As for how to use it in obtainium, I don't know sorry, as I don't use it.

Y'all living on the wild side.
3 0 ReplyNot really. Safest place to get an app is from the Dev if you're not using the play store. FDroid has been known to host out of date packages forever, causing security concerns.
Obtainium is pretty easy to use.

2 0 ReplyThe Play Store is pretty good with keeping things up to date.

Fennec is better Firefox anyway. Why can't you use it? Firefox for Android has a lot of proprietary components
1 0 ReplyWhat's different about Fennec on F-Droid? That's what I use.
1 0 ReplyYou know, it used to be different architecture, but it looks like it may he the same now.
1 0 ReplyI think is is basically the same thing without telemetry and proprietary blobs.
