Speedboat that flipped midair in 200 mph crash wins race on Arizona lake
  • Yea that flip and rotation definitely saved them, you can see in the video they slow down drastically in the air while the top of the boat was pointing mostly forward, although they likely also experienced some drastic gforce changes as it happened.

  • For general use more or less either of them, or dbzer0 or lemmy.ca or a few others you would have seen in your feed by now.

Localized instances are fine too, not sure if sync is still an issue, but if it is just view scaled, or 24hr or longer view.

  • Not quite, well at least not for the US as a whole, but could be different for California/Arizona specifically if anyone has the numbers?

As for US, China exports were still about the same as next two countries combined, so by far the largest market. Good riddance anyway. Source: https://hayandforage.com/article-5229-Hay-exports-flatlined-in-2024.html

  • Damn, Global News not completely shilling for the conservatives?

Sure, it's still not a complete damnation of smallppnobrains, but at this time it could theoretically still hurt him due to last advance election day being Monday and a election day a week away. Perhaps they just had to throw something in to balance out all the pro-cuntservative stuff they air to appear "unbiased"?

  • Metro Vancouver, we get plenty of things more expensive here, don't ask me why, other than why not... (But some cheaper occasionally)

Edit: I should mention, they're obviously fleecing the insurance company because they cover 2 cleanings a year, with no other limitations. I would never pay that shit.

I vaguely recall this in relation to BC/NDP but don't know if they made actual progress, anybody know more?

  • I'm 74, still working and can't afford new teeth. Dental care is my election issue
  • Cost of dental care in Canada is ridiculous (don't know about US probably even worse there). One of the issues is that the dentists and hygienists are allowed to charge whatever the fuck they want. $400+ cleaning? Lol fuck that shit...a dentist in UK did cleaning for me within the cost of check-up so I wouldn't have to go hygienist unless it was absolutely necessary, not just because "oh well you have insurance, let's milk it dry and give insurance companies more reasons to deny claims and shit". And that's not even talking about everything else.

Idiot couldn't handle his new toy in the rainy Metro Vancouver [OC]

Managed to hit the concrete barriers on both sides of a 3 lane highway. Luckily didn't hit anyone but traffic was about 3km long an hour later and caused another accident within the traffic jam itself.

Edit:grammar, and obligatory - I took the frame from my partner's video who captured it for me, as I was busy avoiding the debris scattered all over the highway trying not to get a puncture. I don't touch my phone while I drive, and hope you don't either.
