Face down on the bathroom tiles, ass up high with legs & cheeks spread as far wide as possible. Only way to handle my dump truck
so long as young people generally don't care to vote, people who have no stake in the future will be the only choices.
for kbin users, change your filter by time and keep it on hot ^^
sugar free gummy bears
Looks like they are purging many mods. So far:

You can change your homepage in settings to subscribed. So whenever you hit home it takes you to your subbed page. I keep on it All for now since so many magazines are empty but as the site fills out I will switch it to subbed.
Horizon Zero Dan
Yes, on my personal computer. The UI isn't the best but so far I have been able to handle just about anything I throw at it competently. I definitely prefer Microsoft office which is on my work issued PC. Not a fan of Google docs unless im collaborating on something with friends.
Typically we break into smaller groups to play gta v or golf with your friends. But we have a valheim server we chill on and this week we all got really into battle bits
maybe they really didn't need to, a lot of subs caved at the first mention of replacing mods. Will be interesting to see if the remaining major subs will take a volley from the admins.
sad seeing how many of them folded straight away
I just tell people that each instance is like a country and users are able to move and interact with each other. Some countries revoke passport rights to/from other countries.
I think it's okay if it doesn't happen overnight. As long as the instances of the Verse get more developed and users remain engaged, more will come. Reddit will decay into Facebook lite and other forums will thrive.
there's no pressure my dude, ultimately it's just an internet forum. Everyone adding their own content, even shit posting, helps the verse get better. Don't be afraid to start your own mag and spread your ideal. build and they shall come.
is there or will there be a mechanism to save threads/links that are posted? would be a nice feature to have
Demagoguery, something that Socrates critiqued as a product of democratic systems.
Socrates imagined an election between a doctor and a candy store owner. The doctor would tell the populace what they didn’t want to hear.
As Socrates described it, the candy store owner would say of the physician that he works many evils on you. He hurts you, gives you bitter potions, tells you not to eat and drink whatever you like. What fun is that? The candy store owner, however, would offer sweets and tasty things. He would appeal to what people wanted, not what they needed. He would provide easy and popular answers to all their difficult problems
unfortunately we have too many candy store politicians across the globe.
thanks for making this possible @ernest
how can we make it a success?
support the developers who are working to improve the site, engage with the site and all the magazines that interest you. Don't be afraid to start a magazine for your own personal interests, just make sure you are actively contributing to it as well. Have fun but be civil. Maintain an active community and more will come.
As we approach July I think it's best we stop focusing on Reddit. Just let it slowly drown and instead work on making this place the community we know it can be.
from what I understand.. each instance is like a country and the Beehaw government just banned passports to/from lemmy.world and sh.itjust.works. Citizens can hold dual citizenship but getting beehaw citizenship will have higher requirements. kbin is also open sign-up but not banned because it's users are more chill for some reason.
Christopher Columbus didn't need directions, and neither do we.
