  • Agree with this. It's just more backstory. He was a knight before being a pirate it seems.

  • Erm, what are enhanced bookmarks?

  • I'm unsure why people are acting shocked and surprised.

First of all, anyone who knows anything about football knows transfer budget numbers are plucked out of someone's arse.

Second, given the mess that United are in, they were always going to need a rebuild and have been planning for a rebuild since hiring Amorim. He himself has said on multiple occasions that they discuss is every day in management meetings.

Lastly, failure to get United back into the top six will mean that all hopes of paying off their debts will crumble. Don't forget that this is the same club with rats in the stands and a leaky press conference room roof.

United will attempt to sell off their dead wood and bring in people that can play their system, as they should. I expect them to spend around £250 million this summer.

  • Congratulations Tottenham 🤮

  • Sometimes you'll post things and it'll go down badly. It's okay. You didn't say anything malicious, you just offered your personal point of view. People disagreed and that's okay. People don't agree with my points and opinions all the time. Sometimes hearing new points of view, changes my own, other times I think the whole world is stupid. But at least I took part. Thank you for your previous contribution, even though you deleted it. This on the other hand, is bullshit and unhelpful.

  • In that case, we're in full agreement

  • I honestly don't see a niche in which a new community fits. Surely it would be better to help moderate the existing community. Trust me, Lemmy has enough Technology communities.

  • What laws, rules and regulations are they designed to circumvent?

My issue with AirBnB properties is that people buy places to rent via AirBnB which means that locals don't have access to such places for living. I definitely feel there should be legislation that requires people to prove they live in the properties they list on AirBnB. Making some extra cash whilst you're away is very different to running a place as a business.

  • Small typo, you wrote not and meant note

  • Sundar Pichai is talking up AI overviews and forgetting to mention how it's killing the source of content since people aren't clicking through as much as they used to. What would be classy was if he said AI overviews will start paying the sites it scrapes for answers.

  • Low-key find it amusing that English AI guy isn't wearing a Google Watch
