  • When they say they can't afford to forgive student loans, this is what they mean. This is where the money went. A trillion each year into the military that can't say where the money went and fails the audit each year.

  • I'll give you a BIFL answer that's not super heavy on performance. I'll assume your primary goal is commuting or some light exercise.

    1. Stay away from carbon fibre. Stick to aluminium or better yet, steel.
    2. Choose a bike that has a fanbase. For example Bromptons or Surlys are expensive for what they are but you can maintain them for a lifetime.
    3. Stay away from the cheapest bikes. If you're going for a low budget bike try to stick with a mainstream reputed bike brand like Giant.
    4. A belt drive is more hassle free if you have the budget.
  • Instead the entire area will be turned into glass under Kamela but hey, she had good intentions! Unlike Trump who would have lead to the same outcome but he wouldn't have those good intentions.

  • This is just pro Israeli propaganda. This specific conflict started in 1948. The whole UN has voted against Isreal. And you're telling me that that region will have all out war if Israeli troops stopped killing children? GTF outta here.

  • Learn from Sri Lanka. For the first time ever they got a president from the third party. In the last presidential election he got 3%. Not thirty, three! This time he got 55%. Goes to show how fed up the people were with the system.

  • "Damaging equipment" is just nonsense. I've got an off-grid solar system. When the battery is fully charged the solar panels simply stops producing. It has potential (voltage) but no current until you draw power. Just like a battery is full of energy but it just sits there until you draw power from it.

All solar systems could have smart switches to intelligently disconnect from the grid as needed, some inverter already do this automatically. So it's not a technical problem. It's a political problem.
