  • Is there something about OnePlus that I don't know? I care about my privacy but have a OnePlus phone, so genuinely would appreciate some education if I've missed something.

Secondly, are there alternative android phones with better privacy reputations?

  • Eventually the entire screen is flickering and flashing, but I can't upload a video.

Weirdly xrandr doesn't list 3840x1080 as an option, even though the display settings do (and it works fine at that resolution with the default driver).

It does seem pretty stable at 2560x1080, but it looks horrendous, stretched horizontally.

  • Doesn't the earth itself provide a significant amount of heat from the core? I'm sure I read somewhere that for something like every 10 meters down you dig, the temperature raises by 1° celcius. So maybe we'd not notice a temperature drop so quickly?

  • I agree with you, but also... I'm not sure that I'd notice that I could see the moon a few minutes ago and now I can't (unless I happened to be looking at it as it happened)... I feel like that is something that could be happening every single night and I've never noticed.

The sun disappearing is like... Super noticeable by comparison.

  • I think what you're saying is completely correct and I agree completely, kids know they're straight when they're young, so of course it stands to reason that they know they are gay or any other thing too.

I do have young relatives who changed their mind also though, and I worry too much of you "you just know, it's so obvious" can have a negative impact too, if a growing child decides to change their mind on what their sexuality is, they should not be worried that it might appear disingenuous or abnormal.

It can be obviously one thing at one point and later it can be obviously a new thing, sometimes it can be not obvious and that's all fine and part of the human experience. Generally I'm saying: we should all be allowed to decide whatever we like about ourselves and our identity, and change those decisions whenever we like too.

What I'm trying to clarify is: let's not let people changing their mind about their identity be used against the argument of you know whether or not you're gay when you're young.

Though I think it's fair to say that the above post does not say "you know" but rather "I knew"...

Anyway I'm rambling now, out of fear of being taken out of context, so I'll stop :)

  • I could see myself subscribing to a Lego comic strips / memes community, where everything is in the quality range of "if I'd been more creative I could have made that at home with my Lego and my phone".

  • I love the idea of celebrating this kind of behaviour. I personally thoroughly enjoy being a little early to everything, so I can be chill on my way there and enjoy a nice walk, no stress if I can't find the place right away, and I get to build a reputation of not being late to stuff.

    Awesome work, keep it up!
