  • I remember being like 5 and wanting to make a card for my grandma. I went to my mom's room, asked how to spell something, I think a short sentence like "I love you", and I ran back to the front room saying "I-L-O-V-E-Y-O-U-I-L-O-V-E-Y-O-U-I-L-O-V-E-Y-O-U" over and over, until I realized that I a. didn't remember where the sentence started, and b. didn't know where any of the spaces went.

  • I saw someone say that he clearly meant to say "stop protecting pedophiles", but I don't know if they were saying it sarcastically or not.

It'd be pretty funny if that's what he meant, though. "And we gotta stop protecting the pedophiles! C'mon, you've been doing it, I've been doing it, let's just all agree to knock it off."

  • To clarify another user's response, they were donuts on the shelf to be purchased by customers, they licked them and put them back so someone else would end up getting them unknowingly.

  • I'll admit, I used to be in the anti-Ariana crowd after the whole donut thing surfaced. (Despite being a dumb teen when it happened who, despite not doing things similar, could understand the social pressure of doing it.) But every interview snippet I've seen with her has shown that she's got a good head on her shoulders and most importantly isn't afraid to tell people they're being a jackass on live television.

  • Exactly what I was gonna say. There's certainly a good number of people that take medication simply to function in the way society wants them to, but there are also a good number of people that will sit on the couch motionless for hours trying to figure out how to start functioning at all if unmedicated.

I get the post is a joke but it feels kinda belittling to those in the latter group.

  • Believing there is no reincarnation is just a religious dogma of Christianity

    I don't know that that's true.

We as a society don't know what happens when we die, conscious-wise. To state "we definitely do come back" or "we definitely don't" would be incorrect, just like saying "there's definitely aliens" vs "there definitely are not".

However, we can use evidence we've gathered over thousands of years of existence and make assumptions. Unless I'm mistaken, there's little evidence that has been accepted by the scientific community (Western or Eastern) to support reincarnation, so to say that "we don't come back" is a Christian dogma is a little unfair.

To be clear I don't have a strong opinion on reincarnation. I've heard compelling stories that are hard to explain otherwise, but I feel like we'd have been able to gather at least some concrete data on it over the span of our existence.

  • They aren't scrambling to protect the wealthy, they're holding those they agree with accountable to the truth. Calling every Nazi rapist murderer a pedophile just for the sake of it weakens the definition of the word, and gives ammunition to those actually scrambling to defend these fools when they catch you accusing people of heinous crimes without proof.

but were are people like you when ordinary people needs defense, or minorities?

When are ordinary people also Nazi rapist murderers that are being baselessly accused of pedophilia? Odd parallel to draw.

  • I figured that the second or third layer would kind of "iron out" the imperfections, but still strange that it's occurring nonetheless.

I'll see spots like this on some of my prints, and that tells me to wash my print sheet, but it's never in those 45° lines like yours. I wonder if you can feel any texture difference running your fingers over the trouble spots? sometimes you can wear out parts of a textured bed and have smooth spots that are lower than the rest of the bed. It'd be really weird for it to happen in that exact pattern, though.
