  • Can you link to a post where this happens? I'm on boost and I can give it a try

  • **Juno Turbo Accelerated Dial-Up accelerates certain web page text and graphics when compared to standard dial-up internet service. Actual results may vary. Some web pages such as secure or encrypted web pages will not be accelerated. Juno Turbo Accelerated Dial-Up is not a broadband service and actual data transmission rates are not faster than standard dial-up internet service. Juno Turbo Accelerated Dial-Up may not be compatible with proxy based software services such as content filters or firewalls. Available only for Windows.

    Wow.

  • Check out !newtolemmy@lemmy.ca, we have some pinned posts. You can also ask questions as you get them :)

  • Permanently Deleted

  • In that case, that's the giveaway

  • I'm not sure if 3D printing is the right term here, but it was cool nonetheless

  • Yes, sorry about that

  • I'll wait until we finalize the community icon/banner and then make the posts :)

I'm not sure what happened to Bee, the account looks like it was deleted

  • Thanks! I've changed it now.

It looks like the icon and banner are broken, even on mander.xyz. @Bitswap@lemmy.world, were you in the process of updating those? It could be a cross instance moderation issue. Otherwise how are these:

  • That lines up, the photos I saw were from 2021. Looking forward to seeing the old EB Games signs lol

This might be the Reddit account

all recorded up, working on the magic layers right now, taking time because it's on another level, so head down and off the internet until it blows minds, prooobably this year?

  • I've been using threadiverse, but I prefer forumverse

It's immediately clear what it's referring to, and it leaves it open to other compatible platforms once they implement activity pub nicely. Being able to subscribe and post to official support forums from the forumverse would be a cool promo point

Also people refer to many things as "threads". Conversations, comment sections, discord has threads. Forum is much more clear

  • Leading the pack is Teslaβ€˜s Model Y, which captured a 7.7% market share with 869 new registrations

  • JAMP Pharma Corp., a Quebec pharmaceutical maker, is recalling one lot of JAMP-Pregabalin pain medicine because bottles labelled to contain 50-milligram capsules may contain 150-milligram capsules instead.

Health Canada announced the recall in an unusual Saturday evening statement.

The announcement said the company’s mix-up could lead to patients taking a much larger dose of the painkiller than prescribed, possibly resulting in an overdose that could β€œpose serious, potentially fatal health risks.”

JAMP-Pregabalin is an adult prescription drug. It is used to treat pain caused by nerve damage due to diabetes, shingles or spinal cord injury. It is also used to treat pain associated with fibromyalgia, Health Canada said.

The recall affects one lot of the 50-mg capsules bearing lot number 2305012747, which carries a 2026-08 expiry date, Health Canada said.

Health Canada stressed that taking too much pregabalin or suddenly increasing the dose could potentially lead to patients overdosing, which can be life-threatening.

  • The annotation system could benefit from federation. Users can submit any interpretation, and some of them will need to be moderated.

I can't think of a format that would be compatible with other fediverse platforms. While it would be nice to be able to annotate from existing accounts or follow new updates to a song from Lemmy/Mastodon, the specifics would be complicated. Do people follow artists, albums, songs, lines of text? Sometimes people will want to annotate a single word, and other times a whole paragraph

However, the lyrics themselves would be better off with a system like Wikipedia

  • I'm not familiar with these communities, but you can also cross post this to !fedigrow@lemm.ee. That community is good about discussing which community to post in, and maybe organize some collective effort to lock a few of them to redirect efforts to a particular one.

Once you decide on one, it might also help to do the following:

    1. Post in the selected community
    2. Crosspost to larger spaces like !pics@lemmy.world
    3. Leave a comment in the crosspost linking back to the community

That way people can discover the community over time
