I think she makes it clear she's only changing her tone because she is worried Trump is inflaming his base to commit violence against her. A classic case of a Republican only being empathetic when they are personally invested in the problem.

The other 18% is related to substance abuse and use. The rest.... Cats.

GWB was not dumb. I believe he's actually a smart man...he just had no empathy for anyone who wasn't level with his socioeconomic status. DJT also is without empathy, but also possesses a deep hatred for anyone who isn't one of his pals. An active deep hatred that GWB never had... Or at least never displayed.

Not op but I can take a stab. How often do we see empty patronizing platitudes from those privileged enough to make them without consequence... often all it is are just words. So much so that when you see someone taking a public stand, especially someone as young as Greta was when she entered the public spotlight, it's easy to just be a jaded bitter asshole, rolling your eyes at some foreign tween who thinks that she's going to fix the world's problems. How naive she is. There's no way she's actually going to make an actual impact other than bringing groans from those who would see her fail.

Edit: just looked at the committees she's a part of. Her only appointment of note is being chair of DOGE....i rest my case.
