Reddit died when they killed 3rd party apps and removed mods who protested, but it has been on the decline for a long time since Spez decided that reddit has to be transformed into something that shits money for him

I have only been gone from reddit for just over 6 months. Today I made the mistake of browsing it, there is so much misinformation, noise, and hate. After scrolling for about 10 minutes I realized that I hadn't seen anything of substance that I hadn't already seen on Lemmy
I really don't feel like I'm missing anything by leaving reddit
Supposedly they're meant to help prevent corrosion, but it's really more up to where the car is being driven
I've seen cars without them and zero corrosion and cars with them with serious rust issues
It just depends on how much salt the car is exposed to over its life
