  • They'll do both just like they did in 2007/2008. These AI companies and their investors will get bailed out while the rest of us lose our jobs and have to move back in with our parents in the van they already live in.

  • What a convoluted horseshit accounting from Homeland Security. They claim this man saw them and had a mask at the ready to pull over his face as well as a getaway car that just happened to pull up the moment they tried to capture him?

  • As mentioned this is not easy to print. You might consider cutting the model into two pieces. From the shown orientation, I would do a planar cut just below the top surface, trying to capture those "screws" (I don't know what they're called, they tighten the strings) in the top cut and then flip the bottom section over so the spherical dome is printed like an upside down bowl. This should only require supports for the large piece at the top of the neck. In Bambu Studio (possibly OrcaSlicer) you can also add connector pieces for proper alignment when doing cuts too, but they may he unnecessary when gluing it back together.

Also for future reference, when you see models that only show 3D renderings and no actual finished print, you know you're in for some trouble. I try to avoid these at all costs.

  • Dennys ruined Dennys by being Dennys. Mostly the only reason I've ever gone there is because it was the only place open after the bars closed. During normal hours, there are about a million other restaurants I'd rather spend my money at. In this case, I don't really see the issue and hope they tank further in order to deprive these private equity firms of even more capital.

Also side note, they mentioned the one in San Francisco closing and im wondering if its the same one we visited in the early '10s on a family vacation. To this day, I wonder how much those workers could possibly have earned in the most expensive city in the country and whether it was worth what was probably a two hour commute to get there.

  • Also no article states that she was still steering the vehicle or even still had one hand on the wheel.

So? No article states that she wasn't an alien from outer space steering the car with telekinesis either, but it doesn't make sense to operate under the assumption that she was.

  • IE Biden basically went publicly patting himself on the back of how the US had a lower inflation than most other countries durring the covid spree. but he phrased it in a way that was regularly interpreted as "I solved inflation... you feeling like everything is falling apart is on you."

There was also the fact that we had massive inflation prior to it dropping back down to normal levels but he pretended like low/normal inflation this past quarter negates the previously high inflation, as if things costing twice as much today as they did a couple years prior doesn't matter because "things only went up an additional 3% last quarter so what are you complaining about?"

  • Great but what about the rest of it? This whole "grand jury documents" battle has been little more than a farce as this is just a tiny snippet of the overall investigation. A "highlights reel" of what they uncovered and deemed safe to disclose. These grand jury documents were items curated from the investigation documents by Trump's former DOJ and vetted for disclosure to the jurors/public six years ago. There isn’t going to be anything incriminating the president in this release. It's just another big show to make people think progress is occurring.

  • They're also given lots of leeway under the guise of "officer safety" to do weapons checks on people and the driver's area of a vehicle during a traffic stop for example. Not sure how that applies to something like a backpack though but it seems most judges prefer erring on the side of police in most cases.
