Anywhere it's -40 for a couple months a year.

That makes sense. You know what does not make sense? Open air malls in the Texas summer heat (I'm looking at you The Domain).

I've started visiting one near my job occasionally. It's actually really nice, and the prices on the things I'm actually interested in buying are pretty much the same as online now. It's lovely.
Online used to be cheap, but now all the cheap online stuff is garbage knockoffs and counterfeit products, with legitimate products having an MAP that keeps the prices in line with retail.

My area (half a million people around here) has 3 big malls and couple dirt malls. The restaurants and movie theaters seem to be the main attraction.

Yes, just not in your backyard. The days of malls everywhere is over, they'll only survive in densely populated areas now.
