Another day in the office by myself. We're having billing issues with one of the big social media companies so I'm using the time to work on backburner things I've wanted to do
There's a woman at work who really likes the colour pink. I noticed one time I was helping her with something and saw she had a pink travel cup, pink sunglasses, and even changed the theme of her browser to be pink.
It's something I keep noticing about her now like a recurring bit about a side character on a TV show. I hope other people have noticed as well because it would be a nice thing to include on the cake for her birthday month or anything else work does for her
YarraB out on ragin' again? Thanks for the post, Melba!
I think we're going to have to have a word with YB's supervisor - maybe put YB on a first warning. Has anyone got a copy of the KPIs for the role?
Best day of the week and why?
Friday. Have a night where I don't have to go to bed early for work the next day.
Friday cos Friday night beers especially if the weather is nice.
I have a modded switch!
Fuck yes.
Sitting around waiting for a deposit to land sucks ass.
That's pretty much it lol
Edit: 2 more mins. I'm right near the store so I can Karen it the fuck up if need be.
Edit: all is well.

May I please have a large cappuccino, O Mighty and Gracious Chef? 🙏
May I please have a salmon & veggie bowl?
🐟🥗
Mm salmon and veggie bowl AND a cappuccino please. Teamwork makes the dream work
🐟🥗
Hi chef. Bit late today, but could I please have a salmon & veggie bowl too - with a latte not a cappucino.

I am an electron of the anode when there is no current
I really hate the word thriving to describe people.
We aren't plants.
Swinging between depletion and burnout, yay
Varies with the time of day. Hovers over Functioning but goes up and down.
Overworked to functioning, depending on the minute.
Functioning tending to overworked I think
Physical - overworked (this is as I have a back muscle strain from last week that just won't get better and is painful, hoping to be back at focused level soon)
Emotional - somewhere between functioning and overworked, will be better emotionally once I'm physically better. Funny how the two are very linked.
Some days I'm blue. Some days I'm green.
I'm blue da ba dee da ba die
Been playing Stray, it's such an interesting game. Went in knowing nothing about it except you're a cat who gets lost, but it's been fun and unsettling and the puzzles are good. It's different from the usual games I play which are investigate every single corner, collect, grind, etc.

Oops, I bought a device at an outlet place thinking it was a 2-in-1 (360 hinge). Imagine my surprise now that it has arrived. Still a good deal, but not quite the deal I thought.

FYI you can't delete / deactivate mobile Mykis when they go negative as many times as you want anymore. Only five cards per device.
When going on a holiday, would you want to go somewhere warm or cold, and why?
I prefer warmth. But if it was an adventurous holiday, I don't have a preference, as long as the weather is calm.
It's not really a major factor in picking a location for me. I generally like learning about the culture and history of a place, the climate is only a factor in regards to it's influence on those. The weather becomes a factor, but only in terms of picking the best time of year to avoid things like storms and heatwaves if possible.
I need to be in the sun at all times to get my summer coat cranking.
(I turn much darker in the sun)
Autumn.
If the purpose of the holiday is to lounge near a pool / beach, I want it warm. Tropical. Ocean water so warm it's like going into a bath. The total opposite experience of summer in Melbourne.
If the purpose of the holiday is to sight see and walk many steps per day, I want it comfortable (not too hot, not too cold). Maximum temps around 25 without too much humidity is the sweet spot. Using Japan as an example, that means going in spring and autumn, and NOT summer (which is stifling).

In a bit of exciting news I'm becoming a pub trivia host. It will be a bit of consistent side money and whilst not ideal because I have to go to a place and do a thing, it's close to home and I've been looking for side work for a while and gotten nothing, so this is a nice change.
Wow that sounds like a really interesting side gig!
It's definitely one of the more interesting Going To A Place jobs you can get so I don't mind
That's awesome, I love pub trivia.
That's so fun, good on you!! I've considered doing it in the past, I think you'd see some hilarious stuff.
I haven't properly hosted yet, but there seems to be a balance between actually being a host and you could just run through the questions and the crowd would follow along anyway.
So it probably won't be too difficult once I get used to it, and it's good to know the entire show isn't hinging on you
